Come on; do it. You know you want to. I am not the one holding back here. No, I don't think so. I've been pretty open with my stance that I think Contreras is a really good prospect. You, on the other hand, maintain that you like him, while nearly every post you make about him is negative. And I don't find it outright suspicious that they didn't call up a prospect to be a backup for a couple weeks in May, while we were up 7 games on the division.

Probably just because Heyward will miss some time to have an extra bat? I hope. Maybe when Heyward is back we might see Carl Edwards Jr. or something? We can only hope.

Yay! Zobrist to the outfield. No big deal, we'll just move the second-best defensive second baseman in the majors, according to UZR, to the outfield so we can play this other guy that is way better than him defensively there.

We have this team with this broadcast crew, it really is the best cub fans have had it in 100 years. Was JD this good pre Len? I saw in the fangraphs broadcast crew ranking that Houston used to always be ranked top 5 when JD was there. And now they are back near the bottom of the pack, just because he left. So they seemed to like him, too.

I haven't been watching very closely, but he has 5 K's in 4.2 IP? And the Giants are a high contact team. From a cursory look, I have the Giants making contact on 32 or 40 swings. So 80%. Jake's averaged a contact% of 77% this year and 76% last year. The Gaints make contact on over 81% of swings as a team. Seems fine to me.

Good lord, we are 28-11, going on 29-11, with a 6.5 game lead on the division (with the player who just got injured hitting like .210). We have an outfielder getting ready to come off the DL that's been pretty good. And we have several guys that were top-ten prospects that we can roll our for a month and see how they do. Why in the hell would we need a rental?
