  1. With Montero batting, it really was against all odds.
  2. That seems like one of the stupid uses of replay. It was a freak play where the base moved. Don't waste 6 minutes of my time reviewing why or when or how a base moved. Just use the ump's first judgment.
  3. Good stuff, Tim. He's shown some nuance to go with all of his moxie. Going the other way on pitches away from him, after just coming up... that's the good stuff. It's great seeing a young kid come up ready to hit. He's said numerous times that once he's up, he's not going back down. And he's following through on that.
  4. Thanks! I'll add any names people want added. Ian Rice, please. :-)
  5. So after waiting all week for Rosenthal to blow a game, he just did.
  6. Hudson's been solid. 5IP 1H 0R 2BB 4K
  7. I really like the updates. It's starting to look great, Tim.
  8. This is also more complex than just this, but, according to PITCHf/x, here are the percentages of pitches Arrieta's thrown in the strike zone in each of the last three years: 2014: 47.0% 2015: 47.9% 2016: 47.1% Hitters are actually making even less contact than they were against him last year, too. He just needs to adjust his game plan according to how hitters are now approaching him, as he talked about in the post-game.
  9. seems like a weird time to call him out It's never the wrong time to call him out.
  10. I kinda hope they lose about 8 in a row, just so Ski will get so frustrated that he leaves.
