That's what's so weird about him. Like he hasn't been Chatwood or anything outside of two or three starts, and it's perfectly normal for any guy to have a handful of those a year, but he still had an 11.2% walk rate coming into today. He's just walked an extra guy per game for whatever reason this year. Yeah, I think he's pitched a lot better overall since that start against the Braves in May when he got rocked. Not giving up as many hits, HR rate has been normal. Plus, his exit velocity numbers have been good and he hasn't been getting barreled. He was getting hit really, really hard early in the year. But... you can't keep walking guys like that. I think part of it was he was just timid and nibbling. But his walk rate has remained the same all year. And you simply can't walk that many guys.
