  1. Tommy La Stella sleeps with the fishes.
  2. Awesome. I dont know how he is supposedly meh with the defensive metrics. Its not like he makes the flashy play then screws up a ton. He seems pretty sure handed and makes a freakish play per week. He's not really meh with defensive metrics anymore. He's actually rated very well at short and second this year. He got off to a bad start at third, mainly because he made a few errors early on, but his numbers have crept back up there, too. And he rated very well at third last year. His defensive metrics looked bad his rookie year. But he's been valuable defensively this year.
  3. At what point does Carl's Jr. pass Strop as the seventh-inning guy? (Not that Strop hasn't been really good or anything.)
  4. Yeah, we really have sucked after all those runs.
  5. Footage of Tommy in the parking lot outside of Theo's office, after hearing the news of his demotion: http://66.media.tumblr.com/22d7f19ddb93e37fdd9aee57cbf484d4/tumblr_nmck56GDxd1qclsj2o2_400.gif
  6. D.J. Wilson is still hot. 2-2 with a double.
  7. Wtf does that mean? He's just gonna chill at home until he is called up, traded or released? Daring the team to dump him so he can go somewhere with more playing time Maybe we can wait until after the season and trade him back to the Braves. See how much he likes playing there.
  8. We were always right to hate him!
  9. Good call to run on Khris Davis. His arm is horrible.
  10. Please leave this kid in for a few innings.
  11. Carl's Jr. has the second-lowest Contact % of any major league pitcher with at least 10 IP. He also has the lowest average exit velocity of any pitcher with at least 30 batted-ball events. That sounds like a recipe for success.
  12. Everyone knew that Edwards was hard to hit, struck people out, and didn't give up home runs. Everyone also thought he was a good bet to be a nice bullpen arm. The arguments you've had about him, Tom, have been regarding your ranking of him as the top prospect in the system (or at least very close to it). You're still wrong. Edwards will never be more valuable than Willson Contreras, despite him finding his command and looking like possibly an elite late-inning type. The whole argument boiled down to: "Well, he's a relief pitcher." He still is.
  13. More stories about Bryzzo and less about Dusty, please.
  14. Who does Lackey blame when he is bad at golf, the greenskeeper?
  15. We are going to dong the hell out of this kid and it is going to be glorious.
  16. This might be a problem. I don't think they allow people wearing clown shoes into spas.
  17. The Cubs just rallied with three runs in the ninth to complete a 7-1 home stand and this Ram guy won't quit talking about Joe Maddon micro-managing or whatever else he's rambling about.
