  1. i'm having a hard time coping with the dodgers being this good.

  3. Not when that player is only under contract for a couple more months and can be used to immediately fill a hole in the rotation for the next 6 to 7 years. Yeah, you can definitely rely on some random prospect to do that.
  4. You don't piss away chances to win the World Series, even if it's like a 5% chance to win the World Series. It's only 5 games. It's not the end of the world. Make this team better. And horsefeathers Erick Fedde. He sucks and will inevitably be injured within the next 12 months.horsefeathers that. He can kiss my ass.
  5. So we've got that goin' for us, which is nice.
  6. Yeah, I'm not going to go Keith Law "Paul Goldschmidt is a platoon player" three years into his career. I'm fine with admitting something I said is wrong when presented evidence that it was wrong. I still believe in the Brewers the same as I did then, though. They'll give us a chance if we want to take it.
  7. Well, you just got it. Things change. Circumstances are different. I haven't changed my beliefs about any teams in the division, but obviously things can change with a month of results. Well, this sucks. But respect you for not hanging onto previous predictions out of pride. This also means my prediction doesn't look quite as funny anymore. Predictions can change. When I thought we'd be resting guys for a week, I figured we'd be about even at the All-Star break. Fast forward to us being 5.5 back, and, well, that chops off about a week from when I predicted we'd clinch the division. Those 5.5 games matter. So, yes, the longer we go, and the more ground we lose, I'm not hanging onto a prediction out of "pride." Things can and often do make you re-evaluate what you thought you knew. Before the season, I thought we'd win the division by like 50 games. You said yourself in this thread that you never thought you'd see us at this point at the break. Obviously, things changed to make you change your mind. That said, the Brewers still do suck.
  8. That was like a month ago. I no longer have that faith. I still think we can and should win the division. But it's more 50/50 that we even do that, simply because there isn't as much time left and because we are even further behind. I still think the Brewers suck. And I still think we'll eventually play better. But we aren't in the same situation anymore. Whoa. I wasn't aware of this update. Well, you just got it. Things change. Circumstances are different. I haven't changed my beliefs about any teams in the division, but obviously things can change with a month of results.
  9. You're ascribing way more belief that I have in them than I do. You have enough belief in them to win the division and be resting their starters in the final week. That would be enough for me. That was like a month ago. I no longer have that faith. I still think we can and should win the division. But it's more 50/50 that we even do that, simply because there isn't as much time left and because we are even further behind. I still think the Brewers suck. 10. If they believed in themselves as much as Duker, David and Bukie believe in them, we'd be fine. You're ascribing way more belief that I have in them than I do.
  11. What did you get for him? McCutchen. It's a keeper league, though. And you can keep as many players as you want, as long as you are under the cap. And Cutch is way too expensive to keep, whereas Schwarber is cheap, and I had to include a prospect, Rhys Hoskins, too.
  12. Schwarber is fixed by the way. I traded him from my fantasy team before yesterday's game. That's all it took to end the Duke Curse. I had to give in.
  13. Over the break, Theo is going to build this machine for the guy that they force to eat bread:
  14. Might want to throw a strike or two, Jake.
  15. What happened? McCutchen made a diving catch on a would-be gapper from Zobrist -- a play his old ass had no business making.
