  1. I love 3-0 swings that produce damage. The ones that are popped up to second suck.
  2. I figured all the talk of this by the baseball world would start next season. It feels sort of premature.
  3. I don't think you should be, is what I'm saying. It's not impossible to win a doubleheader and it happens of course, but there are definitely things that make it more difficult than winning on back to back days. Jesus Christ. Literally everything you are saying applies to both teams evenly and thus means nothing. Just stop. But IT'S NOT.

Oh, so you don't know either it sounds like.
  5. You sure about that? Often you aren't starting the lineup you'd be able to start if it was back-to-back days rather than on both and you also are dealing with bullpen choices you might not normally have to deal with. I imagine it is harder. Think about what you just said. In baseball, you play another team. Right, but the Cubs sitting their good guys and not playing them gives another team a better chance to beat us considering a shitty team has less guys to sit that will hurt them.

  7. this isn't a thing and has nothing to do with how this game will play out it's no harder than winning any two consecutive games You sure about that? 8. I don't think we had one in 08 but we did have a 14-game home win streak. I mean, 10-game winning streaks can't be that cool if nobody can remember the last time we horsefeathering had one.
  9. And when that does better for a while and something else is slumping, THAT will be the narrative. nah, reality has little to do with the narrative. I'm certainly agreeing. Which is why there is no need to be annoyed, since talking heads and meatball fans he mentions will always change the narrative depending on what is wrong at that particular time, even if there is nothing actually wrong.
  10. The thing is, there will always be a narrative about something that is annoying. And when that does better for a while and something else is slumping, THAT will be the narrative.
  11. 4th time through plus their good hitters were coming up. If Kyle gave up a dong, we would have complained that he should have been removed. Right. People tend to look at the results when they should be looking at the process. horsefeathers happens. It's baseball. And, really, the offense didn't execute as crisply as it could have in scoring situations that would have added to the lead.
  12. At least it sort of stopped all the pizza talk.
  13. Um, we're winning. And our starting pitcher did great. And the offense is amazing. All 100 percent spot on. That said, probably could have reasonably scored a few more runs with some of the situations they were in. But whatever. No biggie.
  14. Unless he walks. Which is likely. Great point.
  15. This is where J-Hey needs to knock a guy in so I don't have to read the bitching about him. Do this, J-Hey.
  16. This is where you sort of assume Zobrist will get the guy home. Can't assume anything, but you sort of can.
  17. That would be amazing. Even more amazing is that that 1-2 punch would be like the third best 1-2 punch on the team.
  18. So long as Soler ties the game, it's a good at-bat.
  19. Well, this is key right here. Being down 2-0 after half inning rather than 4 would be good.
  20. Maybe the Padres are at the start of a hot offensive streak or something.
  21. Pretty sure this is not the way you want to start Game 1 of a DH if you were hoping for a lengthy game from Hendricks.
  22. Stop being a bitch. We won take a deep breath and relax. I think we need to patch this panicky part of your emotional code up. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/inkfish/files/2012/12/67e4e-fishonaline.jpg Oh yeah, no. I think he's serious. You might have given him the chance to act like he wasn't, but he was. ETA: Dude loves run differential.
