I saw Jorge got sent down again. The big thing for the Royals was that he was under control for three more seasons after this one. Now I'm thinking it might have been a blessing for us to get out from the $4.6 million per for a dude who so far has been below replacement.

I've seen Almora and Happ posted several times like they are in the same tier. I think Happ is for sure a tier above Almora. I'd give up Albert as the headliner for Britton but not Happ. -

It's the Phillies so it might not even last an inning, but it would be really nice for the Cubs to be rewarded for this weekend by picking up a game. Pfffft the Phillies lockdown bullpen has this horsefeathers on ice now. Any chance you're not being sarcastic, as I don't know anything about their bullpen. Please tell me you are serious. Please?

Quality take. Part of me feels like maybe they woke up for two innings against a clearly struggling pitcher and then went back to bed for the next seven innings, but can't afford to worry about that right now. Need wins and will take them however they have to come. He did bring in all of his top relievers in the middle of the game. Not many people are getting to Britton. Other than Britton, I know nothing about the Orioles' bullpen, so yeah maybe it was some quality guys going against us. Which then wouldn't be so bad.

It wasn't a ton of posts, but a fascinating game thread to read. Just a huge high from people and then some big lows and then somehow more relief than joy over a win. Thought Agony and Ivy set the tone with his sarcasm in several posts while Cubswin11 showed even the biggest of optimists sometimes can lose faith for a quick second. All in all, a good night everyone.

To be candid, the Cubs have done this several times this season where you just want to be able to relax with a five-run lead in the 8th inning rather than watching them give up three or four and have the game-trying or go-ahead run at second.
