  1. For a ninny like me, I didn’t enjoy today’s game at all. Not one bit. Good pitching by Q, though.
  2. If you go back to how these play out, the pitching team never gets a innocent ground out to win. They usually lose.
  3. I wonder what it would be like to be a fan who doesn’t think my team is giving up a walk off.
  4. OK, Heyward. If this comes to you, you make sure to catch it.
  5. I feel like the game should have ended there. It feels like it has gone on long enough and mentally I don’t want to have to go two more.
  6. This has a little Game 7 vibe to it. Let’s just skip the game-tying homer part.
  7. Man, it would be great to see Edwards get out of this allowing just the one run. Big swing here.
  8. I think there is a balance there. Like, if they blow it today then the sky is falling.
  9. Maybe I'm too demanding, but I'd prefer a Cubs starter to not only go 5.1 and give up 4 earned runs regardless of the stadium given how the starting rotation has looked thus far. It literally took a ball to drop that’s caught 99.99999999% of the time for the 4 ERs to happen. If that doesn’t happen he likely goes long since his pitch count is way down and the lead is bigger. That’s why noting the four earned runs thing from people watching the game is perplexing. Although to be fair, Almora saved him the other way. Just on the first catch. The second catch he dove simply for the visual.
  10. Yeah, I wasn’t even saying it was because of Coors. I was saying people were getting really mad at him for giving up two solo shots as his only mistakes of the game. Maybe I'm too demanding, but I'd prefer a Cubs starter to not only go 5.1 and give up 4 earned runs regardless of the stadium given how the starting rotation has looked thus far. And he probably could have. He was only at 83 pitches.
  11. No, no; you see, the Rockies home runs don't count because it's Coors (which I guess means that the measly 3 home runs the Cubs also have hit here so far in this series don't count, too. Sorry, Baez!). I mean I don’t think that’s what people are saying. It’s just that it’s Coors, pitchers are going to struggle and give up HRs. They all count but there’s some context with them. Yeah, I wasn’t even saying it was because of Coors. I was saying people were getting really mad at him for giving up two solo shots as his only mistakes of the game. I’ll take that every outing no matter the stadium.
  12. Yeah, it was a real moral victory or something. I would say it was a victory. No moral needed.
  13. I feel bad for Q. People will look at the box and think he struggled.
  14. We have a lot of frustrated fans on this board due to the mediocre start. I fear we might see the worst rage yet by the end of this one.
