  1. Its as if he was reading this and decided to silence his critics haha, no hitter through 5.2
  2. Diamond to Cubs Rusin to AA Whitenack to A+
  3. First off, I think you're overrating Castro. Anyways, Lake is slugging .610 in the second half. In the FSL. That tells you all you need to know about his power potential. Over rating castro??? you are kidding right? Let me show you something tell me if you think he's Quote "Over-Rated" http://mlb.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=516770 From a 20 year old in the BIG LEAGUES. Not MiLB anymore.
  4. what was it about his 11.45 ERA at peoria that made him ready to jump past two levels to iowa? They are obviously in need of pitching, and the 2 clubs are close to eachother. Im sure he will be back where he belongs in a few days
  5. he is a reliever though? sent to replace david cales as far as i can forsee
  6. Who is taking Bibens- Dirkx Roster spot in AA?
  7. Daytona Pitcher Oswaldo Martinez to AA Tennessee
  8. I dont think 1 bad outing for searle grants that he is pitching worse? Last 5 Games 2-0 2.70 ERA 23 Innings 7 ER 3 BB 19 K And take away the one bad outing ERA 2.79? Nathan Baliva said that he was injured during that game, he also didnt pitch for 6 days after that and it was only a 2 inning relief outing, so it makes sense. From what ive heard from the guys in daytona, cody hams is still in rookie ball.. And i think Rhee is still a decent prospect
  9. Not exactly sure why he was sent down although his numbers for the 2nd half last season were not good and he struglled ina couple outings last season. Maybe some one who is more into Sabremetrics than I am can tell us if he was just getting lucky the 1st half of last season (kinda like Jung this year in April) and the numbers just evened out. The thing I do like about him is that he isn't afraid. Runners on base don't bother him like they do some pitchers at this level. He also changed some mechanics in working with our pitching coach after he arrived in Peoria and saw immediate results with a quicker delivery. Two outings ago he developed a blister on his middle finger and got shelled. As for the attitude issue, I've always heard the exact same things both last year and this year. He and I get along fine when I've talked to him. Ryan has been approachable and friendly and surprisingly doesnt have an Australian accent. I saw him at Fitch in March and the lack of accent really stood out. To be fair to Searle, one really bad outing with Peoria has skewed his stats. He also wasn't getting many ground balls at Daytona this season for whatever reason but the GO rate is back with Peoria (along with a lot more walks). ok thanks guys, maybe the walks goes along with the change in mechanics?
  10. Does anyone know what has happened to searle? he was highly thought of in daytona last year, now seems to be going down hill Also whats his attitude/personality like, i remember it was accused of being questionable
  11. Does anyone know what has happened to searle? he was highly thought of in daytona last year, now seems to be going down hill
  12. Nelson Perez to Peoria, Matheus and Quezada to EXST. Johan gonzalez and Thomas to Peoria
  13. im pretty sure brett jackson is going to AA and valdez is going to Daytona
  14. cabrera to tennesee and carrillo to daytona
  15. marco carillo to daytona.. EDIT Well it was in the transactions yesterday... strange
  16. what is your problem? ive read around and your a bit of a hater on this kid. Did he deny you an autograph or something?
  17. does anyone else think searle could be a right hand specialist :?: .320 average against lefties and twice as many walks in half the innings not to mention the GO/AO I think that for now, that's a product of the quality of his secondary pitches (and how good his sinker is against righties). If his secondary pitches don't develop down the road, he won't have a shot at starting in the big leagues. if you take out his last two games in the last week of the season his era on the year is around a 3.8 do you think he will repeat daytona? it would be good to see him there again, yet im sure he wouldnt mind going a step higher, there might be a roadblock up there though.. also, dan mcdaniel, does anyone have thoughts on whether or not he will repeat? and also as a starter or reielver?

  21. talking to the guys after the game, Jackson and Guyer to AA
  22. They lost in extra innings 3-2 (it was going to be a 7-inning game, but ended up going 9). I didn't listen to it though. how did everyone play? did searle pitch?
