  1. Makes Mitch Williams look good doesn't he? :-))
  2. Pitching very carefully to ARAM; can't say i blame him with the strikeout king on deck
  3. 70s night. Isn't there fireworks after the game also? Florida doesn't even deserve this team Why? It only takes 4 concurrent promotions and a well supported road team to make the park half full. BTW, I think Florida deserves the team. Wait until the new ballpark is built...once you are not trying to attract fans to a ballpark in a poor location to come sit in 90 degree weather with a 60% chance of rain, people will come out. I think there are some passionate fans in the Florida area....I'm not saying this is a thriving baseball market, but I think they should be able to average 20-25K in their new park once the initial bump subsides. I dont' care i still hate those bastards for 2003
  4. I don't care how bad his defense is can we please put Jake in the lineup instead of the 10 million dollar man?
  5. 70s night. Isn't there fireworks after the game also? Florida doesn't even deserve this team Concert from the Village People, according to len/bob. Yeah, you are correct; i tried to block that awful thought from my head :-))

  7. Cause Fox is a righty with a righty pitcher on the mound; you know how all these managers get so wrapped up in that crap :-))
  8. This game is wearing me out; can we please get some insurance? :banghead:
  9. Nice call by Lou to leave Soriano on the bench and pinch hit Baker instead; why?????
  10. Hendry doesn't admit his mistakes (see: Miles, A) 2 of the worst signings in the history of free agency Well Heilman was acquired via trade, but your point remains the same Sorry, my bad on that :banghead:

  12. He doesnt like how often Pudge goes to the mound I will be glad when he is retired; can't stand the way he acts behind the plate and when he does something good
  13. Heilmann is BRUTAL; 15 of 31 inherited runners have scored; can someone explain why he is still on this team?
  14. My family and I passed Dunston walking the streets of St. Louis after a game. One of the biggest [expletive] ever. He was my favorite player growing up until that day. Details? These stories always make me laugh and cry at the same time. Some of my childhood heroes were/are complete jerks as people. At the end of each little league season there would be a "banquet" which was basically dinner for families. There was always an athlete that would speak. Former Cubs catcher Barry Foote was one of the speakers. During the dinner (while he was eating) a friend of mine and I approached him for his autograph. I'll admit now that it was pretty rude on our part, but he cursed us out enough to make my friend cry. I was 8 and a catcher on our team, he was my hero before that encounter. He should have been thrilled anyone would want his autograph
  15. It's hard to score runs when your leadoff hitter has an on base percentage of less than .300; could anyone else really be worse?
