  1. Thanks for posting those pctures. I'd like to go to the park even more now.
  2. Thank you. That's been my point all along. I realize I haven't contributed to this thread at all, but after 41 pages, this is the conclusion?
  3. Go Greg! Make your last 6.2 innings before your 9 million dollar option vests one that I will want you back for.* *Number provided by JC's signature. Sorry JC, I used the number before asking you.
  4. How about Brooks Keishneik? (sp) pitches and plays outfield.
  5. That's hilarious. I saw them working on it and had no clue until Ron mentioned it during a boradcast. It was rather amusing in that the game was going on and guys from the bullpen were walking around with buckets filling them with rocks! I could take a couple of pictures of it tomorrow if anyone is interested. I'd love to see a picture of it. It sounds so spontaneous, I hope they keep it up through the years.
  6. I'm pretty sure you just have to ask Tim and he will do it.
  7. Here are some from Iowa. http://www.iowacubs.com/aspx/roster.aspx?pid=324 and here if you scroll down a little http://woolis.com/2004SpringTrainingSpecial.htm
  8. As far as I'm concerned, at those hours I'll be watching KCET or KOCE PBS sations.
  9. Going with Sing. Serena you make real good case though.
  10. Chocolate, I love your avatar. Reminds me at work going through a Cub game and game thread this year.
  11. You're right, the list should include "excellent". It would be there right with D'oh 8)
  12. It would have to be D'oh for me but mmmmmm.......donuts, or mmmmm.......(insert word) gets airtime also.
  13. Thanks, I've been reading and thanks for keeping me up to date with the game. Just because I haven't responded doesn't mean that I'm not listening.
  14. Go Cubs! Gents and Ladies, I'm at work, is the game on? Can anyone please do a PBP? Thanks ahead of time if anyone can.
  15. Thanks Eric, you are having a fine year and I'm looking forward to seeing you play for many years with the Cubs.
  16. I wanted to thank David Keller for answering our questions. It goes to reaffirm to me why this is the best Cubs site.
  17. thanks Serena, I am alt-tabing (can't be a word but it fits), jumping between work and NSBB. I can't just keep CBS Sportsline up because of the images. People walking by and seeing text well... is alright. So yeah I'm definately late on what is happening in the game. Thanks for any PBP. Let's get some runs.
  18. IMHO, all members of the NSBB community are important. I personally feel that message board communities tend to put too much stock in things such as post counts. A quality poster is a quality poster based on the quality posts, not the number of posts. Some of my favorite posters on this site have fewer than 2,000 posts, and many of that group have fewer than 1,000. I know, but sometimes it's fun to know where you stand. Maybe a "poster of the week" each week? *flashback of cubs.com* Oh god, you're right. Sorry I mentioned it. *shiver* The next thing you know Borgie will be re-enlisting and leaving again. No knock on him, he was an informed poster and I liked most of his posts but, What did happen?
  19. Mr. Keller, Thanks for answering our questions here. How hard is it to teach someone an "inside out" swing. This would allow the hitters to hit where they are being pitched and working all the fields. My problem was that I was a straight pull hitter batting left handed and learned to "inside out" the pitch learning to switch hit right handed. Do you feel it's too late for player coming it to A ball to learn that? Not necessarily switch hit but to go the other way with the pitch instead of weakly grounding out trying to pull everything? Thanks!
  20. I agree, every time I watch his 20K game, Unbelievable stuff. I remember, on a different day, when the ump had to check the ball and him, because he couldn't believe how much the ball was breaking. That huge 12-6 curve. Couple that with 96-98 mph heater and, well, it's just not fair for hitters.
