  1. Alright, so Rizzo at 1B, Montero at C, Russell at SS, Fowler at CF seem certain. I'd say Castro at 2B is near certain. So how do you finish out 3B/LF/RF with Bryant, Schwarber, Baez, Coghlan, Jackson? Bryant obviously plays somewhere. It seems like Schwarber would be certain, but he's been struggling and it's a giant outfield. But when you have a dongsman like him, seems crazy not to start him. I really want Baez in there for defense and because I want him to hit a monster dong so bad, but I kind of doubt he starts. Coghlan has had a couple good games after struggling for awhile. Jackson seems ideal to have in LF for defense, but is probably the least awesome bat. I think I would go Baez 3B/Bryant LF/Schwarber RF. I'd guess Joe goes Bryant 3B/Coghlan LF/Schwarber RF.
  2. Pirates lost to the Reds yesterday and the Cardinals lost their last game to the Braves. So by the logic you're using to worry yourself, we should have no problem with them.
  3. Who knows what will happen, but I'm really glad we're not that ones who have to face Arrieta in a one game playoff.
  4. Up? You're unfamiliar with where the Cardinals draw their power.
  5. Plus if Jackson is going to decide to get hot. EDIT: Thought you said postseason. I'm an idiot.
  6. He still has an OBP below .300 and an OPS below .670. Whatever the case though, hopefully his trade value is up there again. yes but at least he's only 20th on this list now http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2015&month=0&season1=2015&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=21,a not bad for semi-sporadic play over 2 months after 4 months of everyday play that had him much higher on the list It's not bad at all considering where he was but you have to be good over the course of an entire season. I know he's not going to be as good as he's been in September the entire year but at this point he's just making up for the terrible play up until July. Here's why the awesome thing that's happening right now isn't awesome and why the Cardinals give me a boner.
  7. Except apparently Jackson is in CF right now.
  8. I'm thinking our current fielding configuration might be what we go with in the WC game (subbing Montero for Ross). Bryant-Fowler-Schwarber in the OF, Baez-Russell-Castro-Rizzo in the IF.
  9. Wasn't Castro statistically the worst player in the league at one point this season?
  10. Pretty cool that even Peralta had to applaud Castro there.
  11. Should have known I wouldn't be the first one with that reference.
  12. Henry Rowengardner up there.
  13. Bryant, Schwarber, and Baez converging like that is the kind of thing that affects horoscopes.
  14. We're going to strike out 20 times and win 13-0.
  15. CUBS are 50-12 when the opponent spends at least one inning slipping on nuts.... 40-54 when they don't. Go CUBS !!
  16. Why are they still allowed to be a baseball team? [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. That video doesn't show the Lofton shudder. That was my favorite part.
  18. Herrera has completely justified his roster spot with all of his antics. Are you allowed to sit in the dugout if you aren't on the 25 in the playoffs? If so he needs to be on the bench for this very reason Cut him and hire him on as a trainer.
