  1. Ha! And the Reds bullpen won't get the 9th inning off this series. They won't survive these 4 games.
  2. He just needs to throw fastballs down the middle and hope to luck into 9 more outs on 20 pitches or less.
  3. I want the Cubs to see 1000 pitches this series.
  4. I like games like this better than other types of games.
  5. I hope Joe has already let Arrieta know that he will not be able to complete his no-hitter.
  6. holy [expletive] [expletive] me and my laggy feed. well done. Quit stealing my hilarious posts.
  7. 5 games up is better than 3 games up. I want to be 5 games up. Give me what I want, Cubs.
  8. I wonder if Cardinal fans are still upset that the Cubs haven't played any good teams.
  9. This is depressing as horsefeathers, I want them to be fun again.
  10. This offense is making me want to awkwardly walk around the room looking for something I can punch that won't break and won't hurt my hand.
  11. Went to the SB Cubs game in Ft. Wayne, mainly wanted to see Eloy and he didn't play. Pretty uninspiring group. Dewees looked alright, Eddy Martinez had a couple decent ABs - one of his outs was 390ft to center. Sutton Whiting (who I had never heard of), listed as 5'8" but looked closer to 5'2", made a lot of solid contact and actually looked like he knew what he was doing at the plate. Frazier looked like he would be unhittable if he had any sort of command. For the Padres, De Los Santos walked a few guys, but looked legit besides that.
  12. I was just wondering about this and getting ready to go look it up. I figured it would be 10-15 teams.
  13. Be sure to remind their fans that 100% of their wins are against the Braves and Brewers.
  14. I saw this on GRB a day or two ago, and am filing it away: A little puffed up after sweeping the worst team in baseball. Pretty impressive that he found a way to gloat about being swept by a good team.
  15. You know, without a shadow of a doubt, that if it were the Cards walking at a record setting pace, Cards fans would be falling all over themselves to effusively praise them for their superior plate discipline. That's awesome.
  16. What's the story behind the joke about the league needing step in to stop the Cubs from walking so much?
  17. I want the Cubs to make a team throw 1000 pitches in a series at some point this season.
  18. The Cubs need to stop listening to the scouting reports that say "attack early".
