that was a ball. Yeah...would be a good take on 1-0...but on 3-2? It was 6 inches onside with a guy who hasn't called anything out there the whole game. it was hardly 6 inches, come on. and either way, you don't let that pitch go by with two strikes.

for not catching a routine fly to left? He called off soriano. Granted, it would have been a bit of a stretch for sori but there is no way he should have been calling for that. doesn't matter. had soriano called HIM off, theriot would have had to back off. that's always the LF-er's ball.

No. why not? i think he's got a great chance. assuming he plays 6 more years which would make him 39 at retirement, so you could easily argue he plays more than that, he basically needs 5 leadoff homers per year. that's realistic.

for me, one of the best parts about it was a guy i went to high school with (wouldn't call him a friend) kept updating his facebook... "three more outs, come on not-izzy!!!" then "alright two more" then "one more to go woooo"... then nothing. absolutely nothing. it was priceless.
