  1. I am a really big fan of Cousins and think if he goes to a better organization with better internal structure/control he will succeed. I could see Houston or Dallas getting in on him. Houston could do something like Asik+ for him.
  2. What an ass of an answer. While a lot of guys who get MLB jobs at least have experience playing in the minors there are plenty who don't and went the MBA/Law degree route. Everyone knows it's very hard to get a job in professional sports at the FO level, but taking the MBA/Law route isn't a bad choice to try and get in if you can't actually play the sport above a high school/college level.
  3. Probably because it is full of holes. The only reason we know about it is they filed a civil suit, apparently. And that was thrown out a couple days later. The lawyer claims it was just because of paperwork issues. Has any of that ever stopped ESPN in the past of running with a story?
  4. This could actually become a real thing
  5. How did the story of Hernandez shooting a dudes eye out in February not make the news until just a few days ago?
  6. That and somehow thinking Almora's next step is AAA and it's possible he skips it all together to go right from Kane County to MLB Well, he didn't necessarily imply that it was his next step. But it was odd to bring up AAA out of nowhere. I know he didn't imply it, but I took as him saying this guys is hitting .400+ in the minors below AAA. Once he gets promoted the only options are AAA/MLB and he seemingly doesn't acknowledge that he's 2 levels below AAA right now. Like you said the AAA reference was weird. It would have made more sense to say something like "Theo is adamant about prospects logging heavy ab's at all levels but it will interesting to see if Theo breaks the mold and has Almora skip A+ all together and go right to AA."

  8. I think they are finding fault in him in that he played like absolute dog [expletive] until about 3ish minutes left in the 3rd quarter. More than half the game he was terrible. But it's also impressive he accumulated the majority of those stats in about 3 minutes in the 3rd and the entire 4th/ot
  9. Excellent, however I don't like our SP prospects who are worth anything being in Daytona and having their schedules regularly fucked with due to the rain outs/delays.
  10. Another factor in the Bryant over Candelario at 3B thing is that they will probably be at about the same minor league stage whenever Bryant gets into the system. Easily could see Bryant starting at KC this year and if Candelario is there Bryant is getting priority at 3B and it's very likely both are at A+/AA sometime next year together as well. If Candelario is forced to move off of 3B because of Bryant/Baez or his own inability what is the next logical position, pretty much down to 1B/LF right? Any chance he could play 2B?
  11. Paniagua pitched somewhere tonight and went 3 innings with 3k's, 1H, no BB. According to a PSD poster.
  12. If Bryant costs over slot I wonder if going over on Hannemann costs us getting Clifton
  13. ESPN's bottom line just said the Spurs had a 98.6% win probability at the time in which it was being discussed if the Spurs "choked" or not, fwiw
  14. I wish we had access to pitch locations/logs for his ab's to compare what he wasn't/was taking earlier in the year compared to what he is/isn't taking now to see what the cause of this bb% increase. Is it just a case of pitchers missing so badly or pitching around him, he simply can't swing and thus a bb% increase or is it he is laying off similar pitches/locations now that he was swinging at earlier in the year?
  15. MLB to start interviewing players and suspensions are likely coming, according to Heyman. Although, he says, they won't be coming if they aren't interviewed. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/jon-heyman/22476749/suspensions-likely-as-mlb-starts-interviewing-players-in-biogenesis-probe
  16. Probably just jinxed us, fully expect a Daytona rain out now
  17. Would you guys rather have Starling or a competitive balance round A pick (somewhere in the 34-40 selection overall) and the extra pool money?
  18. http://www.threadbombing.com/data/media/22/Al_Bundy_excited.gif Wouldn't mind getting a competitive balance and/or international FA money (that can be traded, right?) from them on top of prospects.
  19. In the Miami's reporters defense, they had all left and were on their way home with the rest of the front row at the 1 minute mark in the 4th quarter.
  20. Yeah, no way Miami doesn't win Thursday
  21. He's the only guy that can really create once they get in a half court set.
  22. Do they do one of those probability charts for NBA games like they do for MLB?
  23. I'd say the lack of a offensive foul on Lebron
  24. I don't know how he was a coach. How did players take him seriously/see him as an authority/expert figure?
  25. He travels more times than not when he has the ball I thought he caught the ball then took two steps to get behind the line. Not that it matter or that they'd ever call it. Yeah, he does that a ton and it appears to be a travel. Both his feet are always slightly shuffling when he has the ball and he always kinda hops into his shots like that
