    It's not all about safety. Rodon has a legit secondary pitch (slider) while Kolek doesn't yet and also seems to have command issues.

    I think it's been reported for a while now that they weren't/aren't that high on Kolek.

    He made an out and is now out of the game. Anybody listening on the radio? Not sure of the details but he walked off with a trainer. Was hit in the hand/wrist earlier in the game but stayed in a few innings after that. Assuming it's nothing serious an injury that makes him miss 1-2 weeks wouldn't be the worst thing for him in the world right now, imo.

    Tipping pitches or stealing signs? If he's inferring it's stealing signs it wouldn't be the first time a team or player has accused them of it within the last few years. I think the Cardinals have done it and for some reason the Rockies and Pirates stick out to me.

    What are the makeup issues/concerns with Beede? I've seen Law and at least one other guy mention it, but haven't seen any specific stuff about it. Is it off field stuff, work ethic, etc?

    Not really, he's been an incredible icon for that team for the last decadish and has been a pretty damn good player. I guess if you are going only 1 guy from the towns major sports teams then Ted Williams should be considered because he was "the best."

    So Rick Reilly wrote a letter to Jeter's unborn kids (I'm not linking it because it doesn't deserve hits) telling them how great a player their father was and what not. An actual line from the article "He was the best player in baseball for a good 10 years straight." WTF, I think even the biggest Yankee/Jeter fan on earth will admit he was not the best player in MLB for "a good 10 years straight."

    In the midst of Bryant's reign of terror on AA pitching, what (if any) have the reports been on his defense at 3B during this time?

    It's been posted here, but the thinking is most college pitchers lost a few MPH moving from 5-6 days rest to 4 days rest. Most feel he's only 88-91 as a MLB pitcher.

    I agree. I'd imagine they'd want more MLB ready/in MLB guys since they are in win now mode. Would taking most say ~2/3rd's of his salary on+Bonifacio, 1-2 of Rondon/Ramirez/Carlos Villanueva and someone like Jeimer/Christian Villanueva be enough? Too much?
