He did almost give up a HR and a hard hit ball to start this mess After retiring 10/11 batters, someone hit it hard. Yep, DFA. Where did I insinuate DFA'ing him? Maybe Maddon/FO/someone feels he's typically effective for 80-90 pitches, they let him go out there and he gave up two hard hit balls and since he was in the range they feel he loses effectiveness they yanked him. I will say I wish they let him out there longer too, but this is the second time now where they've pulled him and I'm trying to think of why.
