Yeah the fans that go to these games by and large have less of a clue who the players are than even Mojo plus they probably weirdly want something to go bad and be all lol that's the Cubs I know and they probably still think Ryan Theriot is the best SS we've had in the last 20 years and will see Russell is hitting .240 or whatever and wonder why he took Theriots spot
Close, best defensive lineup is probably something like Ross- C Rizzo- 1B Castro- 2B Russell- SS Baez- 3B Fowler- LF Jackson- CF Bryant or Denorfia- RF
The AL is just kinda sucky, so the least sucky of the sucks have had some luck/performed above where they should have by playing really bad teams. That's my take at least.
I like Russ, Lynch apparently is hurt and may not play, the Lions can probably get into the 20s at least so Russ is gonna have to make some things happen to stay in the game/win.
He's looked okay to me, idk if he's looked good enough to get a playoff roster spot. I guess maybe in the WC game just because we won't be taking any other SP other than Arrieta and maybe Lester. I don't see how he gets a DS/CS/WS roster spot.
From what I saw he wasn't really asked about the contract or led into it with a question at all, he just kinda rambled into talking about it answering/responding to something completely unrelated. So yeah just being a creepy unfiltered idiot
Devil's advocate: for who? I guess I wouldn't mind seeing a lineup of: Fowler- CF Rizzo- 1B Bryant- 3B Schwarbs- LF Coghlan/Soler- RF Castro- 2B Montero- C P Russell- SS Idk, probably doesn't make a difference
Apparently Matt Williams was supposed to have a press-conference at 12:15 ET today and still hasn't shown up with no reason or update given by anyone with the Nats. [tweet]https://twitter.com/chelsea_janes/status/648543819693166592[/tweet] [tweet]

Just hoping for the WC game Cole is a little off and we can run him by the 6th. We were close today if we could've gotten 2-4 hits scattered in early on when he was battling to get that 2-seamer for a strike
