  1. Windows closing like you read about
  2. I'd think it's a lock a pitcher is happening, I just wonder of what caliber. Santana for Salazar or Tehran I bet
  3. I get being happy about this as Brewer fans but my friends are killing me right now. This will make it all the better when they win under 82 games next year. I’m going to make a not small wager on their Under this year if it’s inline with the general public sentiment
  4. why would you think that If the Cubs don't make a move heading into the regular season, their moves are Chatwood and Morrow and lost Arrieta? The Brewers were nearly better than them last year. You understand they have a regression candidate at like every position this year, right? They are a .500ish team
  5. Santana is gone for pitching I’d almost guarantee it
  6. Nobodys scared. I'm just waiting for the finished product before projecting win totals. Crazy stuff Well we know their baseline and they only have room for 2-3 more moves at most and have an idea what those additions can be which just gets them to average to kinda okay at best
  7. They still have plenty of cash to burn and a surplus of outfielders to trade.... I wouldn't start making win projections just yet. Even if they go out and get a pitcher (Salazar, Arrieta, Lynn) and another guy (Neil Walker, Cain) they’d project to be about .500
  8. Stearns couldn’t 4D chess Theo in to giving up Bryant and Willy, guys losing his fastball
  9. Congrats for having one player who projects over 2 WAR, this bumps their win total project to about 75 I’d guess
  10. Just get this horsefeathering done [tweet] [/tweet]
  11. Law had Alberto's in his list of just missed, said he has top 50 potential. Assuming no trades I wouldn't be surprised if we have 4+ top 100 prospects next year and at least 2 inside the top 50.
  12. With those comments I wonder if we were relatively close on a deal with Britton until he blew out his Achilles
  13. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=36132&start=380
  14. Mike Trout already has double the fWAR Hoffman had for his career and Hoffman and Ted Lilly had the same amount for their careers, LOL.
  15. If he has 4 year offers I doubt we are one of the team, I just don’t see us doing that
  16. it's obviously a stupid suggestion for several reasons, but he has them at the same total amount, so really who the hell would care. the same money over more years is a good idea at any price (assuming the contract isn’t so long the commissioner vetoes it for circumventing the luxury tax). 10/160 it is then with $25-30mm a year being paid the first 3-4 years in actual money and opt outs after years 3 and 4
  17. FWIW since we’ve been connected, even though I don’t get how/why we would be
  18. horsefeathers the HOF and Joe Morgan, sanctimonious pricks
  19. The VB’s addition to the storyline is just going to make the MS Paint of this saga all the greater
  20. i think that's when we announce the acquisition of brian roberts too I know it’s just speculation but I don’t think it’s the craziest thing to think what I said is true and there’s a gentlemen’s agreement in place on no announcements today.
  21. To get back on topic a bit.... I wouldn’t be surprised if the agreement is done (if we are to believe the poster) but teams and the league have an understanding to wait until tomorrow or Friday to announce signings/trades with HOF announcement day being today to give that it’s rightful acknowledgment. Since we know there’s the understanding on other things like during playoffs/WS to generally not announce things.
  22. I think there's still a thread dedicated to just the Pirates, we could throw it all in there. Also apologies since I opened this can of worms to posting stuff from that site and helped derail the Darvish thread.
  23. *Who also just started randomly throwing 2 MPH harder across the board on all his pitches and has a litany of arm injuries (amongst other injuries) on his resume
  24. They like to claim the 1957 Milwaukee Braves World Series. I was "burned" by a Brewers fan before the Cubs won with that piece of information. I think at least half that fan base under 30 think they won the World Series in 1982 the way they celebrate that year/team.
