The Brewers had their fan fest thing today and Braun mentioned they've talked about a 1B move and he'd be willing to give 2B a go (guessing it's in jest and just a comment to show he's a team player/not throw a guy under the bus who's about to be traded as it seems Santana is on his way out). But yes Brewers, please try that. Hell even 1B for that matter, he was a horrendous IF defender when he was 24. -
He hasn’t posted in a few days, he was going somewhere without cell reception until this week sometime. But his last thing he said about Darvish he was assured he was a Cub.

-3 overall and will finish in the top 25-35 depending where the rest of the field finishes today for Tiger. He also got fucked out of a birdie when some dick bag in the gallery yelled "get in the hole" in the middle of a makable birdie putt that you could tell screwed him up. Overall not bad at all, all things considered with some especially tough wind conditions today and this field is about as good as you're going to have competition wise for a non-major.

As a whole, no players have not gone too far. But you can also think Hosmer and JD Martinez asking for $200+ million and seemingly holding out for that is going too far and not be anti-player.

Lester could come close in a Jack Morris type way since he has a lot of postseason accolades and finishes the next 3+ years of his career strong. Bryant is certainly on the right trajectory and also, of course, Bryce.

I know guys want all the guaranteed money/years they can get but it seems pretty reasonable to make it a 5th year option that vests for avg IP or an aggregate amount over the first 4 years (avg like 170 and aggregate like 650) also make it vest if he finishes top 5 in CY young voting his last year or some benchmark. We get relative protection if he blows up and he gets paid more if he reasonably performs.

Tiger made the cut today (-1 which also was the cut line) overall I think I he looks quite solid. He won’t win this weeekend but he looks strong and not held back by anything physically, he’s driving the piss out of the ball (was out driving his partners Reed and Hoffman most holes) his touch on approach shots, around the green/putting seems a bit rusty but that’s to be expected. With how he looks now I think with the feel coming back he’ll win a tournament this year (not a major necessarily).

I don’t think there really is a problem. Like had been mentioned a lot of teams just can’t build a competing team in an offseason. Like what are the Padres supposed to do to win this offseason short of committing $300-500 million in salary obligations? Which will only hurt them when young guys are ready and they truly have a window to add. And defining trying to win is tough, a team like the Mets is relatively trying to compete but they can’t help if all their SP die in a year.

I'll believe the Brewer guy that this is done (and at most we are down to semantics/waiting for everyone to get in a spot to announce it, Theo/Ricketts were out of the country some day(s) this week I believe), he deserves the benefit of the doubt, and the cat guy probably isn't right or we are past a big sticking point like he's talking about. But if he is right I'd guess we are at about 5/115-120 with the 6th year being a team option but vesting for IP (or whatever) for like $30 mil and a ~$10 mil buyout.

It's possible. Who are you seeing making the jump into the top 50 by next winter? For me, Ademan and Albertos have the best chances right now. As currently perceived, there are only a handful of guys with that kind of ceiling in the organization. That could change going forward, of course. Ademan and Alzolay for jumps inside top 50. Then Albertos, Lange and Little for possible top 100 on top of guys who emerge during the year/one of the 3 top 90 or so picks we have.

The Brewers sources guy says Santana to an AL team as soon as tomorrow. I’d guess Odorizzi, Fulmer, Salazar or Duffy for major league arms. He’s not nearly enough for Archer. Or else he’s traded off for prospects to replenish the Yelich trade a bit then they sign Cobb/Lynn/Jake
