That was a lucky BABIP hit by Heyward -
Hard hit balls going for hits doesn’t seem like a lucky thing to me. Except that when the Cubs hit screaming line drives right at fielders, we cry about bad luck, so..... That is bad BABIP luck though. Do you know what BABIP luck is? If we hit the ball hard it should go for hits, when they don’t go for hits that’s bad luck. When soft contact finds holes for hits that’s good luck (if it’s us hitting). We’ve mostly hit the ball hard tonight and the balls have been going for hits like they should be. That’s not luck, that’s what’s suppose to happen.

We have 4 DONGS and a bunch of other hits at 90+ MPH. It’s not BABIP tonight. Many hard hit balls that are also sneaking between infielders for hits. Hard hit balls going for hits doesn’t seem like a lucky thing to me.

Chatwood seems to be using more of his pitches tonight, so that’s encouraging. That was a beautiful changeup on strike 3 there.

Didn’t the Reds lose a game because Price did this last year? I remember it was a game ending play against them and it was the wrong call and Price didn’t challenge in time so the game ended.

I'm almost positive Willson came out Sunday after hearing his words got misinterpreted in the media to clarify what he meant about anything critical of Yu. He said he was either misinterpreted or used the wrong English words or something along those lines and everything "critical" and that what he meant was him and Yu as a battery and overall team need to be better and nothing he said was directed solely at Yu. I think Sharma for sure tweeted about it, but of course this hack writer just went with the click baity headline and storyline. -

Arenado hit another HR tonight that looked pretty identical to the one he hit yesterday. That stadium is a joke, no wonder he hits 40+ a year. At best those balls are doubles in every other stadium.

Yeah it’s definitely a well timed hot streak and he’s likely to come down to earth a bit, BUT there’s some things he’s doing and how he’s approaching things to think the lows may not be as low or as prolonged as they have been in the past. It wouldn’t overly surprise me to see him end up the year doing something like Ozuna or Schoop has done the last few years offensively with the elite defense at 2B. Like you said that’s a 4-5 WAR player.
