  1. LaStella hasn’t been a major league hitter outside a few early weeks. Nice job Joe you horsefeathers
  2. Call the horsefeathering strike you fat horsefeathers
  3. He had a strike out but Joe West decided to be Joe West
  4. If Tommy has to die so Bote can stay, so be it. That picture is so unintentionally funny. They were like "just roll that [expletive] over there, Yu needs to pitch and hey Schwarber you had a leg injury go take a look" and Joe isn't looking over Tommy he's watching Yu pitch. I also think that's Yu's translator next to Schwarber, maybe he's fluent in seal.
  5. Darvish threw a 2 inning sim game that seemed to go well and also may have killed Tommy [tweet] [/tweet]
  6. You should save that for the Packers. Despite them being right in my backyard -- and I for SURE cheer against them -- I don't have a favorite football team so my level of hate, while high, is nowhere near what it is for the Brewers. Same, I don’t have an NFL team so I don’t really care what the Packers do or don’t do. Though it is fun when they lose to see the totally rational fans takes.
  7. Oh lord; enough with this already. Okay, I’ll tone it down. We are all good my dudes. I was just trying to clear myself up on my VBs hate. Didn’t mean anything by it.
  8. I really only follow the VBs like I do because I live in Wisconsin so I can throw them on every night and can have them on one of the TVs and Cubs on the other (since they play same times a lot) or obviously if I’m at a bar or something they’re always on. Plus most of my friends are VB fans so I like to keep tabs so when we talk I know what’s going on. I’ve always gone to a half dozen or so of their games a year for a decade+ now that are non-Cubs game as tickets are cheap and I have some family and friends with season tickets so it’s just hard to avoid them (hell, growing up my family had season tickets and I’d go to like 20 games a year). I also just like watching baseball and they’re easy to throw on. If I didn’t live here I wouldn’t follow them like I do and rarely would think of them and I’d probably follow whatever regional team I got on cable like I do with the VBs. Yea, they’ve been better to date than I thought they would but still think they are overachieving a bit (their offense is average or below average at everything but Dongs and what they added doesn’t help this, they’re SP is overacheing and it’s largely due to their great defense which has taken a hit and their bullpen is really good but probably not this good, like Jeffress) and I really don’t think they are a threat but since the season has played out like it has and they are our only threat to the division left I’m going to follow them and make fun of them and their moves when they go wrong especially when they were weird and bad moves to begin with. Sorry if this offends.
  9. Eloy's HOF induction is a month away, huh? Man time flies
  10. Yeah, they have 2 of the top 4 offensive players by fWAR (Ramirez and Lindor) and 4 of the top 17 SPs including the best one (Bauer). Crazy they haven't ben able to win more and they essentially have nothing to play for the rest of the way as they are going to be the 3rd best AL record no matter what. Francona probably should stop having those SP throw 110+ pitches a game.
  11. Dude they’re trying to get better stop criticizing. Schoop also has more errors and strikeouts by themselves than hits and walks combined with the VBs. He also hasn’t walked, overall, in his last 86 PAs.
  12. Yeah, woof. It’s tough to have a “disappointing” ~95+ win year but they are doing it.
  13. He looks pull happy right now. He’s just off. He’s not barreling balls he should be and seems to be getting caught in between guessing wrong a bit too much. His horsefeathers zone constantly probably doesn’t help. It’s just a funk he’ll snap out of.
  14. Some of Schwarbers and Russell’s better abs recently in that inning
  15. Shaky Carl but he found some good pitches there. Hopefully it’s working back and finding some feel, working off rust, fully trusting the shoulder, etc and not something still wrong with him
  16. Team option for $20 million or $6 million buyout (which would be paid by Rangers). If Cubs elect to bring him back for $20 million, the Rangers are off the hook for any future $$; Cubs would get no salary relief. Yeah no way we exercise that $20 million option. If he’d be open to a Cishek type 2 year deal I’d be interested as it could make Monty more available to be packaged with a Almora or Happ for another pitcher (assuming Bryce is also brought in).
  17. On a FB looking right down the middle, horsefeathers
  18. Playoff lineup Schwarber/Heyward/Zobrist OF left to right INF KB/Javy/Bote/Rizzo/Willy left to right
  19. I don’t think it’s certain KB is back before rosters expand
  20. Schwarber seems off lately, swinging through a lot of Dong pitches
