    Well, we got to 10 wins and back to .500 after Chatwood somehow pitched his best game in 2 years. Let's start racking up some wins to stay on the plus side of .500 the rest of the year.

    He's also making the lowest amount of soft contact he's ever made in his career (9%).

    He doesn’t make a cool diving catch once every 2 weeks that is largely needed because he’s so slow, though I realize this is the crap on Almora thread, but metrics say you're completely wrong about this. He had the 2nd biggest gap between expected catch % and actual catch % last time I looked and the only guy ahead of him was Kiermayer.

    Yeah he definitely needs to show some more HR power to be a Guy. They have admittedly said they are working on him getting more launch, it’s not a matter of him hitting the ball harder or anything (he hits the ball hard) it’s getting it in the air a bit more. But the early results so far are damn impressive on the whole. I’d be interested to hear how he’s looking and grading out defensively at SS so far too, I know there’s concerns there that he can be full time there. I wouldn’t mind seeing him get some CF reps sooner than later because I think he’s definitely more a guy who bounces around positions (even if it’s just SS/2B) than he is a full time guy at SS.

    He’s down to .196/.268/.196, .200 wOBA and 18 wRC+ with a 60% GB rate for the year.

    Do the Dodgers still have bad splits vs lefties? Not really, 10th best wRC+ (Forget what it is) and 11th best OPS (.800 even) vs them this year. They’re definitely worse vs them though than vs RHP though

    Since he hasn't started yet this year, maybe he was getting fatigued or they didn't want to push him. Not saying that's why, but maybe a reason. Pretty sure that’s the case. They thought he was only good for 75 or so pitches. Let him leave on a positive note too.

    AZ rakes against LHP so they wanted a righty and Chatwood is the only option. seems desperate and dumb It’s playing matchups and getting Q, and every starter, extra rest.
