    I lived in Cincy for almost 20 years, I always though Gold Star was better.

    Pretty sure Morrow is dead. It is probably part of the reason we signed Kimbrel.

    I believe while a player is on the restricted list their salary does not count against the luxury tax. Not sure how big of an issue that is but that could be just as important as the actually money that would be going to Zobrist in deciding what moves the Cubs want to make. Bastin's article on cubs.com says a player on the restricted list doesn't receive salary.

    I thought we would end up more like the Giants than the Dodgers. Put together a really good 8-10 years with lots of post seasons with the hopes of 1-3 championships before age caught up. We fell off a cliff after 4 years without a good future look. The Giants are more reasonable that they hit their end, but they don't look like they need a complete tear-down to rebuild.

    Braves fans keep posting a Photoshop of Tiger Woods in a Braves cap. Some guy use to post it every time they did something bad and everyone else just uses it to taunt other teams they beat. I am guessing Cubs fans were just trying to get back at them.

    i don't think many people here had interest in arenado in free agency It was a little tongue-in-cheek because of the early reports that the Cubs were more interested in Arenado than Harper.
