    Say what? I'm posting from an alternate reality where it doesn't suck to be a cubs fan and bad memories are softened by occasional successes. Or possibly denial. Hey, how are the Bears doing in that alternate reality? They lose every few years to keep the excitement going.

Whatever that means. Paging Dr. Cub, Dr. Cub. Yes, the most important thing football wise (I'm pretty sure) is recycling hemoglobin. Humans who didn't have access to unlimited amounts of meat needed it to not be anemic. Now I don't know if it's possible to replace this recycling with huge amounts of fresh iron or not, but I'm going to bet on some level of (managable if you're not a pro football player) anemia

    Can you come back from a spleen removal and be a professional football player? I could easily be wrong, but it seems to me that would leave a person somewhat anemic.

    Games in Chicago at the very beginning of April have a high chance of encountering really bad baseball weather. Actually, we probably have the worst early april weather of any non-dome team Or maybe Detroit is worse?

    Pat and ron were talking about that call last night. Pat said ron collapsed and it appeared he "might have expired" At least I'm pretty much over it because we won the world series a couple years later

    I didn't think the Giants were particularly good, but Seattle is scaring me atm. And the Giants get a FG at the end of the half :lol: nice moral victory

    Don't worry about it, I know how it is. I know why most Bears and fans around the league don't take us very seriously. The thing is, this team is well coached, won't kill themselves and plays solid defense. We haven't seen any of those three things from the Vikings in years. It's a totally different team. Our defense and limiting turnovers on offense will keep us in most every game. At the same time unless our offense can score touchdowns when they get in the red zone, it will be tough to overtake the Bears. I think we did show that the Bears offense isn't as good as some thought and Rex can be rattled or confused with pressure. Like I said before the season I would have been more than satisfied with a 2-1 start. We have the Bills and Lions heading into the bye, then come out with Seattle and New England. After those 4 games we'll know how good the Vikes can be. I knew the Vikings would give the Bears offense trouble because of how they like to blitz. Grossman loses his mind under pressure, and you guys did a good job of taking advantage of that, although you could have had up to 5 INTs today. I'd like to thank the Vikings for not blitzing with more than 5 after taking the lead in the 4th quarter. It let the bears win the game. Again, thank you for your coaching.

    What were his other options? Take a sack and make the FG harder? The defender was stopped for the moment, he had enough time to set up for that throw. He panicked

    Yes, since the first 20 minutes or so the refs have gotten upgraded from "biased" to "incompetent"

The only replay that Fox ran showed the ball between his legs as he was going down, but you couldn't see when it came out. His team obviously told him that it came out and he challenged it. How about burning a timeout by not having the right personnel out there for a field goal? It was clear live, it was clear on the replay, and the bears wouldn't have gotten the ball even if they had called it a fumble. There was no clear replay. The only one they showed was from behind the runner. And the Bears did recover it. Yes, they recovered it after the whistle, so it didn't matter. Lovie made sure with the refs that it was reviewable. He was going over it with them for about 30 seconds before they made they said it was being challenged. If there was a whistle, the refs wouldn't have reviewed it. Now this is a questionable challenge. It looked to me like the refs telling him that they couldn't give the bears the ball but could see if he was down before he dropped it for spotting purposes. He's done it before. But since we don't actually know, we're at an impasse here.
