  2. hunter hillenmeyer: most unfootball player-like hair in the game?
  3. impressive job by jackson shooting through there for that many yards
  4. mostl likely out of bounds. Maybe if he could stop and stretch out he could have kept his toes off the line, but I doubt it
  5. wow Longest run of his career,I 'm guessing
  6. It was a fair call. All you have to do to avoid it is not be a moron
  7. wow, they got it, looked like a generous spot. At least that was a decent pass.
  8. Looks like Ricky Manning has found the dumbest way yet to wear a baseball hat. He must have taped it to his skull to get it to hang like that
  9. Marmol had 59 walks and 59 K's last season. What is it about that that makes you think he's the most ready? I don't think he said that Marmol was most ready, just that he was most likely to reach his ceiling. Guzman's injury history can't be ignored. It does impact the likelihood with which he will reach his ceiling. Marmol has never had an arm injury and has much less wear and tear. Plus he seems to be progressing quickly as a pitcher. Guzman is the better prospect because of what he has already accomplished and the sense that he can do it again. But he has yet to show us that he can. His numbers last season weren't terribly inspiring. Here's hoping that he can figure it out. What does the bolded statement imply to you? Well it could mean that marshall's ceiling is low and Angel's is far away, so marmol offers the best combination of potential and readiness...
  10. Easy to ignore 0 people. Load off my mind
  11. ake a look at what Z did his first year up, then remember he wasn't even coming off of 3 years of injuries. Guzman was on a terrible team and showed som flashes. Now lets give him that year as what it was, a rehab, and see where he goes. Hopefully this post was a joke. Guzman was what, 5 years older and pitched 7 times as many innings? Zambrano pitched 1 game worth of innings that season. there are literally thousands of pitchers you could have chosen who would have been better examples
  12. problem there is, wasnt he just signed as a FA? in which case he cannot be traded till what June(?)Isn't that something the player can waive?
  13. i disagree. this is very different from an arbitration player, because matsuzaka has the option of not playing for the team and eventually playing in major league baseball for another team. an arbitration-eligible player does not. boston is using their massive bid for his rights to try to guilt matsuzaka/boras into accepting their lowball offer, which is way below what matsuzaka is actually worth. i do agree that the system is very, very broken. and it looks like boston is exploiting it to their advantage, just like every other "loophole" they can find. every day, this team finds more and more ways for me to think they are worse for baseball than the yankees An arbitration player can't say "no" and go play in an unaffilliated league?
  14. He knows it's the way to make the all-star team
