Soriano's thrown more runners out in a month in LF than Murton has his whole big league career. Soriano's "terrible" in LF? Give me a break. Hater. A strong arm does not mean he's a good LF. He takes really bad routes, and positions himself pretty poorly. A guy that can gun down that lead guy or a guy that occasionally takes better routes to fly balls? It's easily the guy who takes better routes, given what you said. When you include Soriano's speed advantage, it's much closer. Jesus, this is getting annoying. He didn't suck? Murton is an above average LFer... it's not his fault Lou is a crappy manager and put the guy with the better arm in LF. Huh? Your post made no sense? it was quite clear and cogent, though that does assume you know that murton has been playing a position other than LF and that Soriano, who has a better arm than murton, has been playing LF. Given your previous posts, this one confused me greatly. You obviously know these things.

    The opening day 25-man roster payroll was $99,670,332. It should only be $96,420,332 but Rusch still counts $3.25mil against this year's payroll. Anyone with any idea how much net profit this team dragged in last year? ridiculously hard to figure out while the team is owned by WGN. Should be a much easier calculation next season

    Then you are terribly ignorant of the history of our hemisphere, as well as many other things. there was never anyone who looked remotely like samy or alf 500 years ago or more over here. this is akin to seeing this guy http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en-commons/thumb/e/ee/250px-TonyLeon.jpg and saying "yeah, he's black" because he's from south africa because people in this thread apparently don't know history, in large parts of the americas, the natives were entirely/virtually entirely wiped out by disease/murder when the europeans colonized. This is especially true of small ecosystems like islands. They were replaced mostly with slaves brought in for their useful labor and their resistance to the diseases that killed these people. My 5th grade history teacher would be so proud

    In this country, "black" doesn't refer to a skin color, it refers to an ethnicity (ie those of african descent). A dark skinned latino is not black. Nor are dark skinned Spaniards, for example. Saying Soriano or Sosa are black simply because of their skin color is akin to saying someone like Chris Duhon isn't black because of theirs wait, you don't think that sosa's ancestors are mostly from africa? And you don't appear to be joking? I'm not sure what to say. I'm not sure what I can say and not get banned
