  1. I hope they both stumble till Sunday, and then have to play a play-in game that turns into a single-game doubleheader
  2. No, for the sole reason that when I was in 5th grade, I broke up a perfect game with a bunt, when my team was down 10-0 and the other guy was 2 outs away.
  3. So when Ohio State pounds Penn State in The Shoe, we will be added to that list?
  4. What are everyone's final weekend goals for the regular season. These are mine: 1. Cubs sweep Brewers 2. Mets get swept 3. White Sox get swept
  5. No way. He'll cost anyone an arm and a leg. He runs their engine, and he is signed cheap for a while. Side note, I've met him, he's a very nice person.
  6. Did Daley do this in 2005 when his White Sox were in the playoffs? NO!! I feel like giving Mayor Daley an angry finger right now, and I don't even drink and I'm not 21
  7. Tampa! The only time I root for the White Sox is when they are playing the Cardinals
  8. Yup. We've got 2 of the biggest market teams playing each other, let's play through a storm so that we can show the game in prime time, even though the forecast is clear from noon-3
  9. Yeah, I want to knock them out too. Not just to avenge 1969, but also so I keep 100 bucks. I made 2 $50 bets with my Mets fan friend, 1 was who would have the better season b/t Johan and Zambrano, Johan has that one by a landslide, the other was who would have the better record, but we threw a couple strings in there, that if both make the playoffs, whoever advances further wins, and if both are out in the NLDS, then the better record wins, which is Cubs, so I'm hoping the Mets miss out
  10. Boy, Murphy's Law sure loves the Cubs. Every bloody year we're in playoff contention this happens. 2003 we got lucky avoiding Hurricane Isabella twice. 2004 we had an entire series postponed with the Marlins because of one of those 4 storms that hit Florida, I don't remember anything last year, and now this year. We've taken care of our part, getting HFA throughout the playoffs, now I hope the Astros hold up their end and get eliminated from the wild card so that game doesn't need to be played. God, I just hope that this game gets played, the Cubs win, and never have to go to Shea Stadium again - unless it's in the playoffs and we got a 2-0 lead and are getting ready to go for the jugular and knock the Mets out of the playoffs and avenge 1969 once and for all
  11. Well my friend got 2 in 202, 1 in 102, and 1 in 203. So how would that work? I guess we'll have to exchange with someone to get all 4 together
  12. Its benches, but reserved (like the Cubs during the playoffs). Usually its not terribly packed so you would be able to sit together, but I assume Sunday it should be sold out. Depends on how many friends you have trying to squeeze in. I'm going with 3 other people. What do you mean it's reserved like Wrigley does in post-season?
  13. I'm going to Milwaukee on Sunday with some friends to catch the game, and I was wondering if anyone knows how the admission in the bleachers works? We got tickets for different sections, but I was wondering if we'd be able to sit together still
  14. Let's go Buckeyes!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!! If we can beat USC, Wisconsin, and the Illi-Suck, we ought to be good for another trip to the national title game. Of course, we'll get our guts pumped full of lead by an SEC team and be 1 game away from being the 80's Buffalo Bills of college football, but besides the winner, who else can say they made it to the national title game?
