  1. that's what im saying. no way this is his first time taking peds this is simply his first time getting caught. baseball players are taking peds these days.....many of them. pro athletes have been doing this for ages. Canseco blew the lid off now all this limelight is shed on it....but its been happening. some just haven't gotten caught.
  2. Its unlikely that he juiced ONLY in the final year of his contract. Using PEDs goes way back a looooong way. jhonny's likely been juicing all of his career....or at least half of it.
  3. I'm sure if Ozzie steps out of line again Carlos won't hesitate to give him a black guy 8-) I see what you did there.
  4. That was a good ass baseball game all around.
  5. Hmmmm The hair should have had that.
  6. This has been a really good game so far. Lots of good D being played. Soriano with the great sliding grab and Desmond with the leaping grab. There were a few other solid plays on the defensive end earlier than those. For a 1-0 game its been very entertaining.
  7. Build a good team, yes thats always a wise thing to do. I was only commenting on your post about Wilson and money he may be costing himself.
  8. Wilson did a good job he gave up 3 runs and two of those come off a fortunate hit off the bat of a Top 5 player in the league this year. The cards lineup is stacked. They'll get a couple runs across the plate more often than not. The post season hasnt been to favorable to pitching any way. If anything costs Wilson any money, it will be the revelation that starting pitching isnt worth as much as people would like to believe. The teams with the best lineup/bullpens are playing in the WS right now. The teams with the best rotations didnt make it out of the first round.
  9. Man. That game's an instant classic.
  10. well they don't walk enough and don't hit for much power, so with those things in mind, it's not that hard to lose games when you outhit the opponent. I can understand the argument about not hitting for power, but do you mean that they would win more games if they substitute some of their hits for more walks?
  11. Jesus when was the last time Haren was retired at the dish?
  12. I agree. To the Cardinals fans who do this, you should stop.
  13. This post expresses a totally different thought than you're first one. I dont think people are shocked, I think they are just using analysis to prove your "luck" theories wrong. I dont really care about this issue either way, so, I'll drop it. Just making sure I'm not being accused of being arrogan just because I couldnt tell if a guy was joking or not when he claimed all of Dave Duncan's pitchers turn to gold because he gives them steroids. Tony Larussa is a drug trafficer. There I said it. Oh, you or anyone else can say whatever you want. The comments dont bother me. I just cant tell if people are kidding or being serious.

  15. This post cant be directed at me. There is no possible way you could this from my comment. There was nothing arrogant in my post and I do not deem the Cardinals "great."
  16. Wells would be getting the same zone but the Mets are hacking at them.
  17. OMG@ this stike zone. I guess the umps really are trying to speed the game up. Way to go Yankees and Redsox. 8-[
  18. He was a league average pitcher for the Cubs right? Helped them win 2 division titles. He's so good, he doesn't need to get people out. Not sure what you mean there, but, all I said was he was an average pitcher who contributed to the titles.
  19. He was a league average pitcher for the Cubs right? Helped them win 2 division titles.
  20. Fair enough. Still I don't wanna live in a dream world were every pitcher that Duncan touches turns to gold from his great coaching, then leaves and immediately unlearns what Duncan did to him. I think there is only one logical reason why this happens over and over again. You're just being funny, right? Joking? There is no way you're serious.
  21. what are you a dumb ass? They should have been swept because the Mets had them down 3-0 early and had the great John Maine and and ____ Stoner on the mound. And in game 1 Ollie Perez out pitched Chris Carpenter and was leading 1-0 after 7. Only a moron couldnt see how the Cards should have been swept in that series.
  22. Maybe I should have colored my comments green. Yea I was wondering why he thought you were serious. This sums it up quite well for me. If Dye doesnt think 4 mil is enough for him then I'm afraid he's just unofficially retired from the game of baseball and doesnt know it yet.
  23. But you can't do something as subjective as try and rank rivalries and not take into account recognition and opinion. A rivalry does not exist in a vacuum. I disagree. And I recognize the paradox/hypocrisy that comes from me saying outside opinions are irrelevant, while attempting to rank them myself. I do maintain though that the "rivalry" and the "perception of the rivalry" are two entirely separate things. That is my point. OK then, well my question is this: How do you quantify what rivalry is bigger or more intense than another? How you you rank them objectively? I think you either have some quantifiable messuring stick or you're simply station personal opinion. And I dont think there is anything wrong with either.
