I guess I'll credit Davis for finally playing up to his capabilities. It also helps that Penn State had to play small. Davis has given me no reason to believe that he's capable of playing like this consistently over the last nine games. He finally acted like he isn't afraid of contact. Tisdale played soft yet again. How many games this year have we lost the opening tip because he creates a tip violation? We still stink from 3 pt land and based on Penn State's travel nightmare, we should've buried them in the first half. Don't mean to be a downer but I know some fans may think we have turned the corner. I believe Tisdale's only been called for the tip violation 2 or 3 times. He's won virtually every other tip because he cheats on it every time. I'll take that ratio Can I start calling Mike Tisdale's game Eurotrash again yet?

Ryan came into the Big Ten at the right time. The talent level hasn't been that great over the last decade. It appears the league is now back on the rise, so it will be interesting to see how his system holds up. And a Wisconsin fan bitching about non calls at the Kohl Center is comical.

I would have loved Lickliter ball if we won at the level Wisconsin has. But yeah now I'm back to absolutely hating slow-paced basketball. If I were a Badger fan I would be more upset with knowing that the Sweet 16 was about the top end I could expect. It would be a lot of fun leading up to March, especially if you're a season ticket holder but are they ever going to get over that hump? I think their "homecourt advantage" hurts them in that respect. You can't get breathed on for a foul in the tournament. Yeah, they were in the bonus with around 11 minutes left in the second half. I try not to bitch because everyone in the Big Ten gets a home court edge but when the Sconnies went into the bonus they had only two fouls against them. *sigh* The offensive foul call against PU made by Burr at the end of the game looked pretty iffy to me.

I agree. Badger Ball sucks, but not quite as much as Weber ball.

They've been grasping at straws for the past three years, and this was easily their biggest win. Illinois has passed Purdue on their hate scale, as Weber was instrumental in railroading the program a few years back. I understand their enthusiasm, we're public enemy number one in Bloomington now. Yeah... that's just not true. Purdue will always be #1 for most, and Kentucky for the rest. I wouldn't have rushed the court but hell, this program was (and is, quite frankly) so far down that any sign of improvement is going to elicit an overreaction for a while. Let 'em enjoy it, I guess. I'd love to say "hey, we're Indiana and we've been there before," but the truth is it's been a hell of a long time and we've still got a ways to go until we're back. I like where we seem to be going, but one win over a struggling team on an off night is not the top of the mountain. Historically PU will always be number one, but over the past three years the IU fanbase has been obsessed with Illinois and Weber. Right now I'd say it is the hotter of the two rivalries.

... You realize that the students that were there during the Keady years are not the same students that are there now, right? Yes, I'm aware, but you have never seen that dropoff in student/fan support at IU or any other dormant basketball powers.

Purdue's student section annoys me the most because they are Jonny-come-lately's. When they sucked in Keady's last few years, the students were nowhere to be found. Now they act like Purdue is the mecca of college basketball. The same can be said for Ohio State's entire fanbase. They were nauseating at the Big Ten tournament.

Just say Urlacher come to Cutler's defense. I'm not a huge Urlacher fan but that's a classy move.

This is amazing. Just got back from watching in an outnumbered group of Bears fans. Oh man, this is awesome. Lombardi would be proud.

I have my doubts about whether this will work, or how effective it will be. I'll be watching the game with one of my Bear fan classmates. Losing this game would be hard to take. Enjoy the game everyone. Go Pack!
