  1. Haha, Tyrone Williams. He was a Packer like a decade ago.
  2. Better LB.
  3. I didn't say he was not good. I said he's overrated. And for the record Peppers had a much bigger impact then Urlacher, he was fantastic this season.
  4. The biggest thing to me about the Packers this year is the way they were able to overcome injuries. Few teams make it an entire season without injuries, but the Packers got hit extra hard. If they can win the Super Bowl with Grant, Finley and both starting safeties out extended periods and Driver and Woodson out for much of the Super Bowl, what can they do mostly healthy? their biggest injuries were to grant and finley, a replaceable RB and a very good TE. the others were to players who were outplayed by their backups. they lost both games that rodgers either sat or mostly sat. if they lose an important player at an important position, they're out of the playoffs. it's not like they lost a player like urlacher for the season. If Ryan Grant were "replaceable" the Packers would have developed some semblance of a consistent running game. Finley to Quarless/Crabtree/Lee is a significant drop. One of our starting tackles was on IR. Our starting ILB is on IR, and our starting safety was on IR. Say what you will about them not being "impact" players, but winning the Super Bowl with that many injuries is a testament to organizational depth. BTW, Urlacher is overrated. the packers cause their damage through the air. losing grant was minimal, it hurt the overall running game, but who's to say that wasn't a good thing as it caused them to throw more. 1. peprah is better than bigby 2. bishop is better than barnett 3. for the urlacher comment, you're a pathetic troll You brought Urlacher into it, he's very good, but Briggs is arguably better. Urlacher is probably the third best MLB in the NFL behind Willis and Lewis. I was also referring to Morgan Burnett. Bishop is our best ILB, but I'd take Barnett over Hawk.

  6. it's more than just Rodgers, they've got stars all over the field on both sides of the ball. and Woodson aside, they're all really young. its mostly Rodgers, though. free agency and big contracts else where will eventually deplete the team of talent. That reality puts a lot of pressure on their drafting abilities. And despite the unusual number of injuries this year, they aren't guaranteed any more health next year. What happens if they remain completely healthy next year except for Rodgers who blows out a knee in the 3rd game? Is Matt Flynn capable of carrying them through the playoffs? They lose 2 of the 3 playoff games they had with out Rodgers. the league turns over so quickly anymore, I'm not buying the dynasty just yet. GB lost Aaron Kampman to free agency and came up with Clay Matthews to replace him. They lost Al Harris to a debilitating injury and replaced him with Tramon Williams. I'm not at all concerned about Thompson, or his ability to assemble talent through the draft. If he's proved one thing over the past few years, its that he is every bit as good of a general manager as Ron Wolf was. As for free agents leaving, I think you are blowing the argument out of proportion, as you win in the NFL through the draft. As long as the core is intact, GB will be a major title contender. I'm standing by my original assertion they might have dynasty potential.
  7. The Kia commercial with the aliens stealing the car was horrible. I also thought the Budweiser commercial where they sang Tiny Dancer was random and not funny.
  8. This team might have dynasty potential. There's just way too much talent coming back from injury, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, Jermichael Finley all come to mind. It's going to be pretty disappointing if we do not achieve similar results next year. Of course what would be more disappointing is if this is the last football game we see for a while.
  9. Oh, and I don't want anyone to say anything about Brett Favre ever again.
  10. Just got home. Wow, wow, wow. This team just kept fighting all year. When Woodson and Driver and Shields went down I thought we were toast. Rodgers has a chance to win quite a few Lombardi trophies.
  11. Jealous much?
  12. Time can't move fast enough!!!!!
  13. I'm just speaking from a perspective where my expectations for Illinois this season were clearly out of line. I wasn't expecting Richmond to come in and dominate, but at the same time, I thought Illinois would be much improved. The Hulls/Watford/Elston class is similar in talent level to the McCamey/Cole/Davis/Tisdale garbage, and I think a lot of your success in 2012 will be based on your seniors and not Parrea and Ferrel, but I also don't think people will be picking you for the sweet sixteen or in some cases the national title game. Isn't this supposedly the best Zeller? With that said I'm starting to grow more weary of the Weber regime with each passing day. We aren't impressing any of the 2013 kids right now, IU is on its way back up, Wisconsin is going nowhere, and MSU is due for a rebound. Meanwhile, Matta has assembled a juggernaut in Columbus, and I think at this point its time to admit that Purdue is running a better program than Illinois. It looks like Minnesota and Illinois are going to being duking it out for 6/7 in the conference for years to come. Feel the excitement.
  14. I'm not sure what type of expectations IU fans have over the next couple years, but I do think IU will get back. Crean's done a great job recruiting. I'm just not sure its going to be as quick as you all think. See exhibit A in Illinois, but I think a lot of that has to do with Weber. Anyways, my point is that Freshman will be Freshman, and you aren't bringing in DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall and Erik Bledsoe. Once the 2012 class gets some experience under their belt the sky should be the limit though.
  15. Another senior choke. [expletive] this class. [expletive] everything about this program.
  16. Cant wait to see this brilliant end of game execution
  17. hello NIT
  18. Our seniors don't deserve to wear the jersey. I'm done with Bruce, and his whole loyalty schtick. Get the [expletive] out of town. You're worthless.
  19. Sweet, Bruce sat Tisdale.
  20. I'm really starting to believe Weber's lost this team.
  21. Two words: Jim Burr.
  22. Really wish that we would have the same leash on the two Mike's that we do on Jereme. but they're SENIORS!!! Still no Meyers today, meanwhile Tisdale gets stuffed by a midget, and Davis continues to make stupid passes.
  23. I hate everyone on this team.
  24. Illinois is going to lose to NU, miss the tournament, and Weber will still be employed. [expletive] you Ron Guenther
