I don't know how severe these injuries are, but I have severly torn my lebrum in my left shoulder as well as a full thickeness rotator cuff tear and can't even attempt to throw a ball after three surgeries on it. Good thing is that I am right handed and have only had two surgeries on that one. The main difference in throwing is that I cannot throw over the top at all, but only at three-quarters. With that being said, throwing 3/4 adds much more movement to the ball than over the top so hopefully if they have to relearn to throw as I did, their pitches will have more movement.
