  1. If Bryant can ever improve his pitch recognition, he'll be even studlier.
  2. Tomorrow, don't make shitty pitches to good hitters and we should be fine.
  3. So, to keep with our rollercoastering tradition, are we going to lose 15 of 17 now?
  4. Can't wait for Bryant to strike out on a breaking ball.
  5. Okay, [expletive] this [expletive]. This is worse than when Jay Bruce suddenly became a gold glover against us.
  6. This many bunts is worth a beaning. (Not really, but I'm feeling especially meatbally).
  7. We would be in this game if Hammel knew how to threw pitches somewhere other than right over the plate. Christ.
  8. Damn. Why did you have to miss that 90 MPH fastball right over the plate, Addy?
  9. It's the direction the cells are moving It's where the Cardinals should relocate.
  10. I understand pitchers make mistakes, but no respectable pitcher should make -this- many mistakes.
  11. Well, the last two nights have been exasperating for scoreboard watching.
  12. why would you expect them to go .500? they are both really good teams. the ground that they gained on the giants is way more important than the ground they didn't make up on the cards/pirates. It's wishful thinking, as it isn't unheard of for even excellent teams to play average ball over a couple weeks. It's not like we're asking the Cardinals to pull a reverse Cubs, as glorious as that would be.
  13. If the Cardinals and Pirates would have gone even just .500 during our stretch, we would have gained 7 or 8 games. Nothing is ever easy for the Cubs. At the very least, we need to grab the first wild card spot.
  14. Baseball is fun. Like, SUPER fun. Thank you for the awesome Wrigley treatment, Cubs!
  15. Schwarber annihilated that ball. Wrigley went wild as soon as it came off the bat.
  16. Way to walk the guy after you were ahead 0-2.
  17. Meanwhile the Brewers get a dinky high hopper double. But it doesn't matter, because yay Ross!
  18. We're three, four lineouts away and Fowler's almost HR away from a handful of extra hits and another run against this scrub. The amount of bad luck we've had this game is comical.
  19. To be fair, we can't complain about bad luck the way the last 13 games have gone.
  20. Why would they stop when its clearly working and clearly effecting Lester? Oh, it's a good strategy, but annoying as hell.
