    After what happened in the 8th inning, them winning this one would be stealing it. Pretty much. Cubs' winning probability with 70% before the double play. Ugh. Just... so many other things could have happened in that situation. This game has been one huge letdown so far.

    The send was a bad idea at the time and in hindsight. Shallow flyball, Heyward throwing, and you still have a crappy pitcher on the mound with one out if you don't send. It wasn't a 'do or die' situation. We still had time. It was completely unjustifiable. Also, Christ, Miggy, can you please hit a fastball?

    this is a little weird since it's about a guy who is in his first (and probably only) year on the cardinals Meatball rage. I hate it when insufferably successful teams get amped up as if they're fighting for their playoff lives.

    how else do you think it's possible to strike out so much with that kind of an eye/discipline? He'll get better. One of the frustrating aspects of our strikeout tendencies is how often we've swung through juicy meatballs.
