    Now I know the frustration other teams feel when Arrieta pumps a fastball down the middle and they still swing and miss.

    Also, ugh. We had a good chance to drive Cole over 20 pitches in the first with Rizzo batting. That was such a horrible send. Bryant doesn't hit for high contact and Schwarber doesn't have the best speed. Would like to know what Maddon was thinking there.

    My point is that it's possible, but you never go into a series saying 'Oh, we're definitely going to sweep.' It's unlikely. The timing is annoying.

    Let's [expletive] the Pirates up. I was fine rooting for them while we were still rebuilding. Now, they're just a nuisance. If you would have told me before this season that the Cubs would win around 95 games and play at PNC in the Wild Card game, I would have been ecstatic, as well as moderately annoyed. Your fun ends here, Buccos.

    Wow, [expletive] the Rockies. You never expect a sweep in a three game series between any two baseball teams, and the Rockies go and lose four in a row to the Pirates late in the season when we're chasing the first Wild Card, because of course.
