So, in most baseball games, a three run lead is pretty safe in the fifth. I don't know why I try to set reasonable expectations when we play the Cardinals. My rational side says it has to balance out eventually, that this [expletive] will stop one of these games, but it just keeps [expletive] happening. How do they get all the clutch hits when they need them? Why is no lead safe against them? How do we score FIVE [expletive] RUNS IN THE FIRST in yesterday's game and still [expletive] it up? How come out bullpen implodes and theirs doesn't? How. HOW?! There's no way small sample size applies after five years.
