Man, I wish we would have thrown a bunch of money at Shields during the off-season. 5/90 would have gotten it done. -
I'm hoping Maddon calls out the shitty strike zone in the post game. Then again, I don't imagine umpires are the sorts to consider constructive criticism.

Burnett has been good, but not as good as his 1.60 ERA represents (3.06 FIP, 3.41 xFIP, 87.7% strand rate). He turns in his first non-quality start of the year, giving up four runs through six, which isn't enough to best Arrieta, who gives up two through seven. Cubs win their seventh straight.

Replays should be over turned on preponderance of the evidence anyway. Why is the initial call always assumed to be correct?

He gets out almost exactly half the time. Rizzo is leading baseball in OBP so far. I've never felt so confident in one of our hitters - my seasoned Cubs pessimism is waiting for him to begin slumping.
