  1. Holy [expletive], those balls were [expletive] MASSACRED.
  2. Common sense says we get rolled by the Mets' pitching in the series. Common sense also said we would roll all over the Brewers, so hopefully the Cubs defy expectations in a good way for once? I'm reminded of the time Marquis beat Roy Hallday in 2008, so anything can happen I suppose.
  3. The strikeouts are quickly going from depressing to infuriating. Let's stop whiffing against Kyle [expletive] Lohse, please.
  4. I know we're striking out at an egregiously intolerable rate, but let's not forget that we're up by two and Hammel is dealing so far. And our bullpen is strengthened with the return of Grimm. I'd feel good about this one.
  5. Starlin really needs to pull his [expletive] together.
  6. I would too if I was wiffing as much as he was.
  7. [expletive] pathetic. Let's stop getting our asses handed to us by young, unproven, mediocre pitchers, Cubs.
  8. Yep, solid hit off a curveball down and away. Of course.
  9. I know it's unreasonable to get upset when batters swing through fastballs, but Bryant has seemed pretty slow on fastballs over the plate this year. Just wallop one.
  10. Lulz, everyone has already checked out of this [expletive] game.
  11. The Cardinals basically prove that God doesn't give a [expletive] about karmic balance.
  12. I feel like being such a patient team is hurting us against pitchers who pound the strike zone. We need to adjust and look for first-pitch fastballs.
  13. Advanced scouting Nonsense. It's pixie dust and Satan pacts.
  14. Of course we're stinking it up against Lackey. And I thought Coghlan's out was going to be a bloop double for sure. Why the hell was Jay playing so close to the line?
  15. Watching the Cubs win against the Cardinals feels like an older gentlemen being told the lump in his testicle is benign. Pure relief.
  16. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN EVERY [expletive] GAME. STATISTICALLY, WHAT THE [expletive]?!
  17. Also: I love the patient approach the lineup's been displaying all year, but methinks their tendency to layoff meatballs could be a real problem.
  18. That's what reason says, sure. The Cardinals have made a pact with Satan, though. Rational thought doesn't apply.
  19. I am so sick of this [expletive]. And haha. I read some of the comments about my five years rant. I was in high school when I posted a bunch during 2008. I've graduated college now. Still young, apparently. Or rather, everyone else is just really old.
  20. This is exactly the sort of [expletive] I'm venting about.
  21. So, in most baseball games, a three run lead is pretty safe in the fifth. I don't know why I try to set reasonable expectations when we play the Cardinals. My rational side says it has to balance out eventually, that this [expletive] will stop one of these games, but it just keeps [expletive] happening. How do they get all the clutch hits when they need them? Why is no lead safe against them? How do we score FIVE [expletive] RUNS IN THE FIRST in yesterday's game and still [expletive] it up? How come out bullpen implodes and theirs doesn't? How. HOW?! There's no way small sample size applies after five years.
  22. Maybe it would be less frustrating if you just looked at them as a usually well run baseball organization instead of acting like they have some kind of baseball genie hidden in the depths of the stadium. Where's the fun in that?
  23. For once could we have an easy win against the [expletive] Cardinals?
