No way to tell if its gonna last, but if you think about it, we've got the best of all worlds going right now offensively (at least so far as the Cubs offense can get)... - Nomar has come back hitting well - Corey has come back hitting ok and is being patient... ok, maybe not... WHY BUNT, BAKER!!!??? YOU IDIOT!!!!! - Lee and Aramis aren't totally dead yet, as proved in this series - We have a leadoff hitter in Lawton - If Blanco can keep up, even at .275 as compared to his recent .450, we can't go wrong with him in the lineup for Barrett (plus adds more defense) - Macias and Neifi are coming through with big PHs from time to time, or getting hits when least expected - Most of our starting pitchers are good for at least 1 hit/timely sacrifice a game To me, the only thing we're missing is another decent-to-solid offensively OFer (not Burnitz or Hollandsworth) - Murton won't be played much by Dusty - so getting a guy like Griffey would help out immensely, IMO. I'm not saying we are, or will, make a strong push at the WC... but things are coming together to go on a run. If Hendry believes they are, he needs to make things happen to put the team in the best possible position to do so.
