    Oh, look, a hit that scores an ACTUAL RUN. You mean you can score in Baseball? If the Cubs don't win this game, I want Lou to seriously go off. He kind of did yesterday but it wasn't an all out, Lou meltdown.

    Brewers 4-3 over the Cardinals in the top of the 9th. Cardinals not doing well against us and the Brewers at home.

    I'm tired of the "wait until we get back to Wrigley" schtick. In September, (ala crunch time) this team will be on the road A LOT. If they don't turn it around soon, it won't matter what they do at Wrigley. Lee, A-Ram and Soto look asleep.

    You need to do better at something so I'm not letting you practice it anymore. Maybe he is seeing a pattern of just "putting on a show" in BP instead of actually working on their games? Perhaps he is "taking away their fun" until they show they have come out of this slump in actual game action? It almost like Lou saying: " No X-BOX or PS3, kids, until your homework is done".

    Start earning your supertar salary? Maybe have better at bats from the 3-4 hitters? No one expects them to produce EVERY time they are up there, but when you have a 2-0 count with a team on the ropes, you had better have a better AB then a weak 6-4-3 DP. And A-Ram looks as bad as I have seen him as a Cub.

    They've been playing the soundbite all morning on XM. Lou certainly didn't sound happy, but he wasn't exactly yelling and screaming. It was more of a matter-of-fact statement. After reading this thread, you'd have thought he was standing on the table, breathing fire. They showed Lou during these statements on Comcast after the game and let me tell you, he was visibly disgusted. I think he stopped himself just short because had he gone on it was going to be a complete bash session. He was sending a very stern message to the offense (Lee and Ramirez I suspect) and he wasn't doing it in a calm tone.

    If your read between the lines, I think he was calling out Lee and Ramirez. How can you not call them out (Especially Ramirez) at this point? You have a number 3 hitter with 2 homers since June 1st, which is terrible. Then you have a 4 hitter who can't hit on the road.

    It's about time and absolutely needed. "I'm tired of seeing balls flying all over batting practice and when the damn game starts we don't do a thing. There will be no BP tomorrow or Wednesday and we'll see if that helps". =D>

    Fixed. No team in Baseball can win when the 3-4 hitters aren't doing what they're getting paid to do.

    These are drastic fluctuations. They should not be this horrid on the road, no way. IMO they just don't focus on the road as much as they do at home. I really think Soriano being out the last month and a half has now finally caught up to everyone. Once he returns, guys will be more relaxed and I think you'll see the team go on a tear.

    Harden again dominates, yet this time he gets an L for his efforts. Rich had 20 k's in 2 games and has given up 1 run. He's been better then advertised. On to the offense. D-Lee has not gone yard going on 4 weeks now, that's not going to get it done when you are batting third. That AB in the ninth was as piss poor of an AB as you can have. He has a 2-0 count and hits into a weak 6-4-3, which he is great at. He has hit into more DP's then he has hit homers, PATHETIC! Dan Pleasac called him out in the post game show by saying "That was just a bad AB for being ahead 2-0. You're not looking for a single, you are looking for the 3 pointer". Aramis needs to bring the bat on the road as he is killing this team as well. He's in his second horrid slump in a month. I really think now is a good time for a good old Lou explosion. They have been playing mediocre ball for long enough now. They can be thankful Sori is coming back and that this pathetic play has not cost them the division lead.

    I'm gonna say it: D-Lee is garbage when you need a big knock. The guy REALLY, REALLY craps the bed when the game is on the line.

    I think the Cubs have been blanked only once this year. So the odds are with them to score in the 9th. And Howry walks the leadoff man.
