  1. And that makes the Blackhawks loss even more devastating. I think any of the following five teams in the west would have beaten the Rangers. Kings,Hawks,Ducks,Blues,Sharks. Maybe even Minnesota
  2. Sharp will turn 33 next season, he has probably two good years left.
  3. Exactly. The Crawford contract is not an albatross some make it out to be for one.
  4. His contract is basically the same as Jimmy Howard, did they overpay? Maybe, but in a couple of years the contract will not look as bad as it does now. At least now they wont have to worry about the goaltending position n the next few years. Most of the goals he gave up in the Kings series were defensive breakdowns. As for hate, well in a way it is when certain people blame the goalie for just about everything while ignoring what really lost them the series(no fourth line, no second line center) Q being outcoached. He was outcoached last year by Babcock who had an inferior team, and this year by Yeo and Sutter.
  5. Not sure I really get the Crawford hate? Is he a top 5 goalie? No. His contract might seem bad now, but with the rising salaries and salary cap it wont seem like a lot in a couple years. He is not the reason they lost this series, in fact perhaps without him they don't get out of the first round. They lost because the lack of a 2nd line center, and no fourth line, really wore this team down. And despite all that, they were one ot goal away from going to a Cup final vs an overmatched Ranger team. I would like Kessler but Vancouver is going to want a ton, Seabrook is a BC boy so he would be playing in his backyard so maybe his no trade clause wont be an issue. But I think the Canucks want to get younger and they will want Teranavien plus either picks or someone like Johns. Stan Bowman doesn't strike me as that guy to give up youth for someone already on the wrong side of 30. All in all the Hawks are set to be contenders for at least the rest of this decade and I think they will win at least two more Cups in the Toews/Kane era.
  6. I agree but I can see their point, everyone here are Cub fans so maybe that's where it comes from.
  7. And 10-1 in the Q era in Game 6s And undefeated in game 6 road games
  8. I was the most angry after games 2 and 3. Both winnable games. If they lose tonight, or Friday, or Sunday, I will be upset but not as much as I would have last year if they didn't win the Cup. Their championship window should remain open for the remainder of this decade.
  9. The Kings were significantly beat up last year. This isn't the same team that the Hawks beat in 5. That's exactly what I said.
  10. Ah, should have known it was TMZ. They also said Crawford is in the middle of a 6 year contract. That contract doesn't start until next season.
  11. Kings have only played 3 less games of hockey of the last 2 years, and considerably more over the last 3 and look to be firing on all cylinders. Also, the Kings have had a considerably more grueling run in this year's playoffs. Only 2 more games played but the Hawks had several days rest between each series and I believe the Kings had 1 day off between each series. I guess the major difference is the Hawks had 10 Olympians and the Kings 6. The Kings last year looked like the tired beat up team vs the Hawks, looks like the opposite this series. Not making excuses but the Hawks haven't really looked right since February. That being said if I think the Hawks can win this series. Anyone see this? http://www.tmz.com/2014/05/28/corey-crawford-nhl-goalie-chicago-blackhawks-water-bottle-spray-fan/
  12. I'm thinking that Shaw will replace Bollig instead of Regin. I'm hoping, anyway. That would make too much sense for Q
  13. One other thing, what kind of dirty laundry does Bolig have on Q that he isn't sitting in the press box? What a worthless pile of crap he is(I know he had an assist last night).
  14. Hawks got bitch slapped game 1 at home vs Vancouver in 2010. Were getting bitch slapped 2-0 in game 2, before winning the game late. Then went to Vancouver and took both. As for this past game, the Hawks were in control for 38 minutes could have been up 5-0 instead of 2-0, stick tap to Quick who kept them in it. They get a fluke goal late in the 2nd, and then two power play goals to start off the third. Then the Hawks began pinching and the wheels came off. I am not worried, Hawks will take at least 1 of the next 2 in LA. Hawks should end up winning this series. They are 10-3 vs LA for a reason.
  15. Well, game 2 tonight. I think Q will sit Shaw one more game with game 3 not until Saturday. Interesting article about the golden age of hockey in Chicago we are right in the middle of. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/27567008-419/blackhawks-fans-living-through-golden-age-of-chicago-hockey.html#.U3yw6doo7cu
  16. Well Im not gay(not that there is anything wrong with that) but I think Sharp has him beat. http://penguinssauce.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/SharpGQ.jpg
  17. No hockey tonight, maybe I will catch up on Game of Thrones, I am two episodes behind. Looks like the Rangers are coming out of the East, I just don't see them beating the Hawks or Kings. I do hope Montreal can find a way to make it go 5 or 6 games though.
  18. I think it has to do with Staples center having availability.
  19. He looks like a washed up lounge singer you see at a Holiday Inn.
  20. Gotta root for LA because of home ice. Hawks can beat both teams though. Let's hope for 5 overtimes tomorrow. Also have to think Montreal will be in the SCF. Lots of pressure will be on them to win the cup for Canada without a cup winner since 1993. I think the WCF winner will win the cup.
  21. And 75 percent chance cup winner is original 6
  22. My guess ECF starts Saturday. WCF starts Sunday, even if LA, Anaheim goes 7.
  23. Hawks now 13-0 in games 5 and 6 in the Toews/Kane era when a series was tied 2-2. This series will end Tuesday
  24. Sunday's game 5 will be at night, exact time TBD. Translation: If Cindy and the Pens eliminate Rangers on Friday, Hawks Wild will be at 6pm, If they don't Hawks will probably be on at 830PM.
  25. Why isn't Bollig still in the press box? Regin and Morin should be playing instead of Bollig and Nordstrom. But I will trust Q. Yesterday's game pissed me off, but the Hawks took the Wild's best punch and if not for a couple of bad bounces the Hawks could have been up 2-0 after two. Keith on the powerplay in period one nearly missed. I still think the Hawks close it out in 5. Even if they lose Friday I wont get too worried.
