  1. Weis is here to save the season, hopefully I won't be up until a meaningless game after the Cubs clinch the division after running off 7 straight wins and some help by the Dbacks, Reds and Rockies. Close this one down
  2. My spot in the order earlier in the summer brought a spot start by Alec Mills. It resulted in a 4 game winning streak. Hoping for the same, otherwise this season is kaput. [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUIQgEVDM4[/bbvideo]
  3. philosophizer75 weis21 Not here yet, so I can get one going

  5. Their season was lost blowing all those games with mismanagement of the bullpen. Really they should be 5 games better than they are. But losing 2/3 to the Reds is inexcusable.Yes, the excuses will come with injuries, but this team has more talent and more resources than the Cards and Brewers yet they will probably finish 3rd and out of the playoffs. They have to go 8-2 in the final 10. Brewers have an easy schedule but they are on the road for the last 6 at least.
  6. Or the Cubs pass up the Cardinals but also get passed up by Milwaukee for the division.
  7. Assuming both the Cubs and Brewers win tonight Cards 85-67 Cubs 83-69 Brewers 83-69 Nationals 83-68 Cubs go 7-3 over final 10 Cards go 5-5 Brewers go 7-3 Nationals go 7-4 All 4 finish 90-72 I want chaos
  8. An average QB gets this team to the Super Bowl. I just hope Mitch can become that. He did have a hand full of good games last year(Tampa in particular).
  9. Looking ahead to next Monday, Bears open as a 6.5 point road favorite? Seems really high
  10. QB's dropping like flies
  11. Yes, on Friday the 27th. Also the VB's will take the 2 WC from the Cardinals, beat the Nationals in the play in game, and take out the Dodgers. Meanwhile the Cubs will take out the Braves and then eliminate the Brewers in the NLCS, washing away the sins of 2018.
  12. 16 games to go, I don't think this team can go on a 13-3 run to overtake St Louis
  13. I will take the under I also never grow tired of outsiders talking about the great food of Chicago. I had an Italian Beef for lunch. btw I devoured mine before taking a picture, this is just a photo off google. http://www.amazingribs.com/images/recipes/italian_beef.jpg
  14. If I had to guess Den -2.5 but we shall see
  15. Cubs scored 10 last night, as many as the Green Bay Packers, both teams won their games. I have a crazy feeling the Pirates might help us out this weekend by taking 2 of 3 from St Louis. It would be nice if the Cubs can increase this modest 3 game winning streak. GO CUBS!
  16. What percentage of the fans in attendance at Miller Park will care more about the Bears-Packers game than this game? 99.6%? Hoping for a Cubs 9-0 lead at around 7:19pm tomorrow Go Cubs! Go Bears!
  17. If the Cubs can be 2 games or less out of first in the final 10 I like their chances. Plus the Cardinals schedule seems to tighten up after Thursday. Yes they continue to play crap teams, but they are on the road. horsefeathers the WC, I want no part of that game post 2015. Although, if you win, you get the Dodgers in a best of 5 rather than a best of 7 which would be better for the Cubs. All of this would be meaningless if they were 22 games over instead of 12. How many horsefeathering games did they piss away? Or Joe, put his "I drank two bottles of wine" at Binny's lineup?
  18. Just win, because the Cardinals will too A night game after a day game, gave Joe plenty of time to get his drink on. Will be fun to see what kind of lineup he creates with that much time and booze to drink. One of my favorite sailors(Mariners) of all time Quint
  19. Bears football is 95.5 hours from now. That's all i have. Cubs will be either 3 or 4 back of the team from the land of shitty pizza and deep fried ravioli. As for Almora and Russell
