I would agree, and seeing how MLB will never get rid of it, I feel the NL should get adjusted as well

I THINK THE dh FREES UP GM'S AND MANAGERS TO THINK ABOUT THEIR LINEUPS AND POS PLAYERS AS HITTERS FIRST How so? They still play defense in the AL don't they? they do, but not as well... actually, I am making a broad assumption, I know. but it certainly seems that way.

I dont know about the players union, but I absolutely hate interleague play and I agree with PV, bring on the DH. cant beat em, join em edit: because i dont know the english lang.

I'll accept it if MLB just got rid of inter-league play altogether. amen still wont solve the World Series issue and (for what its worth) All Star Game

put that on the "That'll Never Happen" list. I am more interested in how the DH influences a batting line-up. why is it NL GM's seem to insist on athe old 1 hitter, 2 hitter, 3,4,5 hitters and 6,7,8 forgetabout thems, and then the pitcher???

I hate the idea of the DH, but the simple fact is that it helps teams win games. period. I have no idea why NL teams tend to float by the rule that you have SB guys (CF, 2nd), HR guys(1st, 3rd, corner outfield), and defensive guys (ss, catcher). I am over generalizing, of course, but it seems to me the DH allows the thought "hey, maybe ALL my position guys can hit and hit weel and maybe even for power". I thik you could find a case for a few aging veterns who can play the field but can still hit well, namely Alou, Bonds, (man, SF is full of em) and for a part of 2006, Nevin.

Am I the only one who got this? Really quite clever and amusing way of calling someone a name. I don't get it. :? Please enlighten me. its better baseball then the NL right now i watch 2-4 NL games a day, i watch maybe 2 AL games a week(usually the rangers) i just cant stand the DH and its consequences. while I hate the DH as well, the AL teams stack their lineups (ingeneral) much better then NL teams. whether or not that is a result of the DH or a result of better management in the AL is up for debate, one thing isnt. Baseball happens in the AL right now. Teh NL has some catching up to do...

That says a lot when the top MVP candidates don't even have to play the field. That's what's wrong with the DH rule. and exactly why the AL rules the baseball world and why the NL is falling behind fast AL teams understand the need for good batters up and down the lineup, not the old traditional play for 2 runs crapola the NL plays off my soapbox now -

What if it ties a game? I think a nod is acceptable celebration for a game-tying homer. Perhaps a hop and a skip. lol you kids are unbelievable

I didnt think he looked stupid at all....granted it wasnt a gw walk-off, it did bring us alot closer to winning this game, as was the best possible outcome of his AB, so I say celerbrate on...
