  1. They need to unload spare parts and garbage. But unlike smaller market teams, they don't need to unload highly paid producers. right...thanks for clarifying me...
  2. Way out of it? That trade was in 2002, and as of the trade deadline in 2002 they were leading the division by 5 games. That was a classic buy from a buying team and has no relevence to the Cubs current situation. The main point that he and others are trying to make, though, is that the Cubs should never really be unloading. Given their payroll and market, they should always be looking to reload. If Abreu is available, Hendry should be inquiring because Abreu is better than any FA available this coming winter. I completely disagree, this year they NEED to unload...big time...
  3. Well, it's coed, and heavily beer influenced. Pretty fun and not all that serious. It's been several years since I played 16 inch in junior high, which isn't a good idea when you're also playing little league at the same time. Screws with your swing. thats cool. I'm in the same kinda league up here. Its a blast and we're currently in 1st. I still am having trouble converting my line-drive baseball swing into an upper-cut softball swing though....
  4. Monday: Cubs suck, not worth the hassle of going to queens. Tuesday: Cubs suck, softball playoffs. Wednesday: Cubs suck, not worth taking a vacation day. I actually had tickets to Tuesday's game (from work), but weather rescheduled our softball season and I wasn't going to miss the playoffs for this crappy team. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..your a SOFTball player...that explains everything for me now :P
  5. I honestly didnt either until i read LoDuca was 0-10 against him. I guess I read this article to show some discontent with Dusty. Is it possible the players are getting sick of him and his moves? Is he loosing the clubhouse?
  6. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-060726cubsbrite,1,797016.story?coll=cs-home-headlines and on Dusty playing the stats...
  7. Really? Aren't some those seats in the upper deck rather high up? I've never been there, so my impression is strictly based on eatching games on TV. I dont remember them being that high
  8. I love dodger stadium, especially the location. I love the way it sits in Chavez Revine. Beautiful piece of architecture. not a bad seat in the house, but your right about their fan base, sometimes they are completely oblivioous unless its "cool" to be there...
