  1. I would take 9-7. I think Angelo missed by not taking another OG, and I REALLY question the Steltz pick becuase of that. There were some value guards to be had at that pick. but all in all, I agree, I am starting to like the way he drafted, need with top picks, and value for depth after that. Bowman, Monk, and Harrison all are intriging, and Davis ESPECIALLY. 3 pass oriented TE's. who woulda thunk it would happen in Chicago???
  2. that is a damn nice fa class It might be better than the Titans' draft class. Griffin Young are about the only ones I would have signed..am I missing something?? henderson and the kicker are pretty good. i hope reynaud does well and catches on, looks like he picked a good team I dont...I would have to listen to it

  4. Hmm, I thought Philadelphia had one of the better drafts in the league. Arizona had a decent draft as well. Of course, all of this really doesn't matter as giving out draft grades when none of these guys have played a snap in the NFL is completely mindless. Let's give it 2-3 years before we start handing out grades for this draft class. your just bitter cuz he gave the Pack a c+ lol in all honesty, it is impossible to grade a draft with any believable accuracy so soon, but its fun to do. O, I found a Q&A with Hill, his fav team growing up was the Bears, but he loved watching Farve.... http://www.thefootballexpert.com/nickhilldraftinterview080001.html
  5. the Czar gives the Bears an A, best in NFC with Atlanta http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8079936/Handing-out-draft-grades-for-NFC-teams
  6. tell me about this guy, and his needed breaks...
  7. who also plays on sundays and torched the bears for 100 yards rushing and receiving. we're all going to see why thomas and mendenhall shared carries at illinois. We probably won't. Peirre racked up the yards because the Bears were crushing the Saints and were content to let them dump the ball off all game. He's a solid player but he's probably not going to get a whole lot of playing time this year. there's really an excuse for anyone racking up yards in any game. but thomas put on one of the best performances of anyone all year in that game. lol @ the thought that Forte is as good as Mendenhall Fixed I would agree, Mendenhal is the better back, but what would it have taken for the Bears to get him after Williams? My guess is at least a 2, 3, 3, 4 draft picks. I just dont think that would have been in the Bears best interest.

  9. they just want all the teams to iron out the wrinkles for them and they will just have to swoop in at the end and grab the drippings...
  10. Mushin? Taller, better hands, slower then Mushin
  11. which they need to. the O-line needs talent and depth. I still think the pick for Steltz would have been better served as a OG.
  12. I think you mean Jamal charles...but I agree with most of those. I like Forte, I jsut dont like him @ #2. Steltz looks better in rd 5, and harrison as the second #3 was fine in place of Bryant, leaving the 4th open for a nice OG or T
  13. the bears essentially got Mendenhall in Forte. Forte has more mileage, but didnt cost them alot in picks as would have Mendenhall. Unfortunately, they Bears need much more then RB I don't think Forte is quite as good as Mendenhall. But Mendenhall doesn't have the track record that Forte has...Both have pros and cons. HAHAHA are you serious? Lets compare cometition, and stats. Conference USA vs Big Ten? Seriously Forte is not in the same league as Mendenhall. Forte was all Tulane had. he caried that team for 3 years. Mendenhall came on and did his thing for one year against good competition. to say he is in a dif league is abit of a stretch
  14. What don't you like? I think it's been a fine draft so far. I would've preferred Albert over Williams in the first and a WR like Sweed over a RB in the 2nd, but Williams is a fine pick and Forte sounds pretty damn good, as does Bennett. The DT provides some nice depth for if/when Tommie and Dusty get hurt. Bowman is a solid CB, and I really like the Safety pick because it will probably help keep Archuleta off the field. I wish we would get a Guard, and I would've liked Johnson, but I'm hoping now we don't take a QB at all because I don't want someone like Woodson. There's been some interesting picks, but I don't think there have been any bad ones. I am really starting to sour on Steltz, he could be Lynch, he could be Archuletta. that being the case, why not take a chance on a OG or WR?
  15. Brennan here we come blech. I love being FORCED into a QB pick
  16. I dont undrstand the Davis pick. With all the O-lline issues last year and inconsitantcy @ QB, we go after a TE with issues. sure, ha has a ton of talent, but since when has Angleo been tolerant? I dont get taht. Steltz made some sense, but likely would have gone undrafted. I just dont get Jerry this year
  17. f-in Bears lost a really good OG tot he Rams
  18. I like the pick, but I would like it more if they had gotten a good OG in the 4th.
  19. Bowman = D. Manning, 2008 good size, speed, JUNCO transfer. interesting pick, and the Bears could always use DB's. Still woulda been nice to snag a OG
  20. i thought steltz was rather physical. He looks more physical than he is. At 6'1", 210lbs, I expect a thumper. He's far from that. Again, he' won't shy away from contact, but he's not an Adam Archuleta type hitter. Using players we know as Bears fans.....he's similar to Chris Harris in speed, coverage ability, and instincts. Probably a surer tackler than DManning, but similar lack of thump when making a hit. haha, Adam sure hits hard, but he was terrible last year. adam hasn't hit hard in years. yeah, I'm nt sure Ive ever seen a bigtime AA hit. Steltz is a sure tackler, nothing flashy. he's a good run support SS. he's value was probably where we drafted him, in the late 4th. ts hard to argue the call, but I do think there was better value out there
  21. yes, stud SS.
  22. Harrison is a good pick
  23. yes, and so are a ton of guards...should be a interesting pick i don't like a guard in the 3rd. but they'll probably go guard. I like Oneill Cousins. One of the top players on the board and could play Guard or Tackle. He or Dre Moore are my next pick. I'd go after Booty in the 4th, because I think he'll be there. I am with you every step of the way Raw...
  24. man, now I am REALLY questioning the Davis signing by Angelo. Bennett looks like a guy who could quickly displace him
  25. yes, and so are a ton of guards...should be a interesting pick
