  1. all Hail the Greatest Team Ever, the Packers.
  2. which we will loose because Lovie has gone soft and is unable to recover the team
  3. That game will mean something even if Chicago wins. GB would conceivably still be fighting for a WC spot and Chicago should be fighting for a first round bye. And it could be a precursor to a first round rematch with the Packers. I'd be willing to bet that if we win tonight and loose to the Jets (likely), Lovie limps into GB resting a good portion of this team
  4. and if we loose in GB, maybe we get a new head coach.....
  5. Who freaking cares what Packers fans are thinking? It's a Vikings game in Minnesota, the storybook atmosphere just isn't there. It's already been pointed out in this thread at how ridiculous and/or amusing it is that the Packers have to cheer for their jilted lover tonight. I don't know how that's not worthy of some sort of storyline. Of course it's worthy of a storyline. What I'm not buying is the supposed storybook atmosphere. Favre coming out of retirement to face the Bears with the Packers on the last week of the year would be a crazy storybook atmosphere. But he's thinking about playing in a meaningless game for the Vikings, a couple weeks before he's gone for good. It's really not that big of a deal. its not that big of a deal for ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE TWIN CITIES trust me, TCF will be obnoxious for at least the first 1 1/2 quarters also, if we loose, then we get a fun rivalry game that means something in GB
  6. Sulley doesnt beat his kids or wife but that whiskey bottle is in for it.
  7. Who freaking cares what Packers fans are thinking? It's a Vikings game in Minnesota, the storybook atmosphere just isn't there. what? a crappy year for a team with high hopes being led by a broken QB who happens to be a legend, returning to their roots of out-door football, in an extreme local climate, to beat out the recent division favorites? might not be storybook to Bear fans, but just about everyone in MPLS is up for this one. thats why I want to see it, and then beat them and crush their souls
  8. It's not like that crowd is insanely in love with Favre. they would be in this setting
  9. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario?algorithm=custom&14=41545000&15=40045514&16=41151151 somewhere in there, Matt Ryan died.
  10. the Lambs at 8-8 and the 4th seed is ridiculous
  11. Well we wouldn't die tonight, but that's the most likely outcome. I only mean in the general order, no timeline defined.
  12. how about both? favre starts, vikings loose, packers die win win win
  13. sounds to me like he is just trying to play. it doesn't guarantee anything, obviously http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/112192814.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiUo8cyaiUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr
  14. favre throwing for 150 yards and 3 int's, but the bears loosing 10-9 would piss me off the most.
  15. why [expletive] its all over. clearly, this tcf stadium deal has blown up in my face.
  16. good news for Gopher fans HELL YEA
  17. again, thank god we aren't playing in the rollerdome
  18. which both are bound to happen because its Sulley's team after all
  19. I'll regret this game only after Cutler goes down with a concussion and Briggs breaks both kneecaps.
  20. Kluwe's blowing smoke. he's just trying to intimidate the Bears, locker room material.
  21. my home state is Illinois. my alma mater is Minnesota.
  22. I'm excited about this game.
  23. oh boo hooo we've had amazing luck all friggen year long. we need to win a game where the conditions are against us. yes, the cold and snow will likely help the Vikings and their junior high QB. Who grew up in the South. and hasn't played in the deep cold. ok. yes, the game is STILL in Minnesota. yes, all the local yokals in Minneapolis will be out bragging of football in the cold, and likely will be plenty hyper for the game at its start. and yes, if the Bears start slow, that could snowball. but the Bears haven't beaten the Vikings in Minnesota since 2006. So much for that Tamp 2 dominating on field turf. Also, the past 2 years, the Vikings have routed us there. Good riddance, RollerDome. so now we need a game completely away from Minneapolis to feel good about ourselves? The injury concern is the only meaningful slam on this game, and I'm not yet convinced its a real concern.
