  1. I'd rather just witness it then imagine it. but, we got the Angelo Clown Posse leading us. so...
  2. I think he's top 10 with his receiving abilities. he has to many runs where he hits the line and stops. once he gets to the edge, he's phenomenal.
  3. who cares? they're wrong about Bishop. They also say Forte is a top 3 back, which I dont buy either.
  4. Throwing an interception? HOLD ME CLOSER TINY DANCER
  5. But he watches the games. His eyes wouldn't deceive him, would they? funny, that was sneakys exact reasoning behind his link. Bishop is good, but among the best? I dont buy it. Best of the second tier maybe.
  6. persuasive I am, with my green eggs and ham.
  7. thats great that they like the guy. he still isnt in the top 5 ILB on 3-4 teams.
  8. meh, their explanations dont do much for me
  9. Yeah, we had to depend on a 6th round rookie who didn't get his first NFL carry until December. I'll take my chances with a pretty proven RB in the league going forward, or at least splitting time with Starks. i don't know how the results are much different. the offense wasn't much better or worse without him. Our run game was obviously much worse this season compared to the last couple. and look what happened. McCarthy is much better when calling a passing game and the run game is pretty much crippled
  10. the 3-4 uses more than 1 ILB... lets see: Jarrod Mayo James Harrison Brady James Bart Scott Patrick Willis Ray Lewis What do they have in common? All better then the so called "among the best in the league" Bishop.
  11. yea, I know Peppers gets all the hype and he had some pretty good series, but I don't know that he was that big of an upgrade over OGUN as the hyperbole suggest. But not having a good running MLB in the middle REALLY hurt us last year. I think it gets overlooked. Look at GB's seam routes against Chicago vs their seam routes against the rest of the league. There is a reason Rodgers didnt play as well vs Chicago, and its not our All Pro safeties.
  12. Better LB. but they don't play the same position, and in the Cover 2, they are different enough to make them incomparable. Briggs at WLB w/ Urlacher at Middle >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> then Briggs at MLB and ANYONE at WLB, or Briggs at WLB and anyone not named Patrick Willis at MLB.
  13. w or w/o Taylor, RB isnt a need
  14. wait, Briggs is a better MLB then Urlacher? I'm confused
  15. its not great, and wont be with Grant either I still think Starks is mediocre.
  16. I've completely misread his contract. its probably closer to $2 mil this coming year, and that is much more palatable. I'd still look pretty close at a replacement.
  17. considering Taylors salary next year will be in the $5mil range for a back up RB, you cut him. again, a back up position is not a hole when your starter is pretty good. stop the monetary bleeding, put that money towards Forte or FA, and play either Bell or a UFA.
  18. + they should periodically draft RB's to keep fresh legs around. As much as a QB.
  19. My only issue with this is now you have to add RB to the list of needs. Along with Manning testing the waters, Adams not re-signed yet, and 4 of 6 LBs not under contract....the Bears have too many needs with only 6 draft picks. I really don't want to trade down just for the sake of trading down. I guess they can go with Khalil Bell (RFA), Unga (supplemental pick on IR), and possibly re-sign Wolfe (UFA) to back up Forte, but they obviously weren't willing to do that this year. adding a RB to replace Taylors 2.7 yrds a carry isn't a huge need. that could be done with a undrafted FA signing for crying out loud. and save a kitty to boot. I understand that I myself could probably get 2.7 ypc. But that doesn't mean the Bears would trust me to do that. I don't think some undrafted guy is going to spark the confidence in the staff to be the #2 RB. And if not, your other choices are a RB that was inactive all of 2010 and showed enough in 2009 to make them think they needed to get Chester Taylor, an undersized RB who may actually not be able to get 2.7 ypc, and a rookie who spent all of 2010 on IR. I'm fine with Bell and an undrafted rookie RB. But I don't know that the Bears would be, and I'd rather keep Chester than use a precious draft pick to replace him. saving that much money on Taylor, spending it on a FA, could easily give them the option of drafting a RB
  20. it's more than just Rodgers, they've got stars all over the field on both sides of the ball. and Woodson aside, they're all really young. its mostly Rodgers, though. free agency and big contracts else where will eventually deplete the team of talent. That reality puts a lot of pressure on their drafting abilities. And despite the unusual number of injuries this year, they aren't guaranteed any more health next year. What happens if they remain completely healthy next year except for Rodgers who blows out a knee in the 3rd game? Is Matt Flynn capable of carrying them through the playoffs? They lose 2 of the 3 playoff games they had with out Rodgers. the league turns over so quickly anymore, I'm not buying the dynasty just yet.
