yes/no. It could have been expanded, but it would have drastically changed the old portions of Soldier Field. Considering it was a Historical Landmark, they tried to compromise. I really think they did a nice job considering the restraints actually.

I actually love Soldier Field, but I'm an Architect and therefor severely disconnected with society when it comes to aesthetic appreciation of the built world. Phenomenological existence. thats right, I just archi-babbled you bitches.

I live the idea of Chicago hosting a super bowl for the reasons that we might get field turf and I think the SB could stand to have a few really awful weather stadiums to shake it up a bit. And besides, it's the freaking SB, no team or fan is going to say "yea, no thanks, I don't want to go to Chicago in Feb". But I really doubt the NFL would ever do it

The market is starting to say paying Forte what he wants is fairer and fairer every day.

The last 3 SB winners have had below average OLs. The Steelers and Giants lines were particularly bad, bottom 1/5 of the league bad. I was mostly talking about offense. Those teams won because of defense as much as offense, even GB had a pretty good defensive year when the won. But ok, replace "decent line" with "otherworldly defense".

Running back by committee is what happens when you dont draft a stud RB, let's not kid ourselves. Using it as a strategy is a reaction to 1 or 2 teams success, and their success is predicated on their ability to draft talent at other positions (QB, WR, etc). Hell, you could even say WR by committee is the way to go when you look at teams like NYG or NO. What you need more then anything in the NFL is a stud QB, decent line, and intelligent OC. Beyond that, it doesn't matter where you spend the benjamins, including overspending (or perceivably overspending) on a RB

I don't really understand why, considering perceivably, the actual value of a RB for any team isn't that high. But they have been getting paid of late.

Lovie has said things like this before when there was no clear or better alternative : "Rex is our QB". I think its just lip service. I'd be willing to bet Lovie isn't saying "Webb is our guy" at the moment. He said that all season when Tice was trying his best to get Webb to pan out, it doesnt mean hes married to Webb nor is Tice. They preach continuity more any particular player. at lease I'm hoping upon hope.

because they aren't moving webb. maybe they think carimi really isn't going to be alright. they are moving williams as insurance, not to start him. everything they've said has led me to believe that webb is the guy. webb is tice's boy, his diamond in the rough, he's staked his career on the dude. i'll believe that williams will be the starting left tackle when i see it. they may not be moving Webb, but where could they move him? I thought maybe you had heard Tice say Webb was the starter.
