  1. Running back by committee is what happens when you dont draft a stud RB, let's not kid ourselves. Using it as a strategy is a reaction to 1 or 2 teams success, and their success is predicated on their ability to draft talent at other positions (QB, WR, etc). Hell, you could even say WR by committee is the way to go when you look at teams like NYG or NO. What you need more then anything in the NFL is a stud QB, decent line, and intelligent OC. Beyond that, it doesn't matter where you spend the benjamins, including overspending (or perceivably overspending) on a RB
  2. It shows a very recent trend.
  3. I don't really understand why, considering perceivably, the actual value of a RB for any team isn't that high. But they have been getting paid of late.
  4. The market for running backs is trending towards the deal Forte wants, right or wrong.
  5. MARSHALL DROPPED THE BALL
  6. I unscrewed that damn light bulb Oct 7, 2003 at 11:00 pm cst and have been comfortably obtuse ever since
  7. I hate you. b&
  8. Oh I confused the jersey #, forgot Marshall changed to 15. My point on Campbell is still true, tho.
  9. Seeing Campbell just reiterates the Bears thesis: that finding replacement qbs is easier then finding a competent o-line
  10. I'd retire his jersey. Yes I would
  11. I'm the opposite. I could care less how much he's declined, I never wanted to see him retire
  12. And you're pretty [expletive] on lol
  13. I'm [expletive] bawling I LOVE YOUUUU KEERRRY
  14. Lovie has said things like this before when there was no clear or better alternative : "Rex is our QB". I think its just lip service. I'd be willing to bet Lovie isn't saying "Webb is our guy" at the moment. He said that all season when Tice was trying his best to get Webb to pan out, it doesnt mean hes married to Webb nor is Tice. They preach continuity more any particular player. at lease I'm hoping upon hope.
  15. Hardly a dig on Martz, just honesty
  16. because they aren't moving webb. maybe they think carimi really isn't going to be alright. they are moving williams as insurance, not to start him. everything they've said has led me to believe that webb is the guy. webb is tice's boy, his diamond in the rough, he's staked his career on the dude. i'll believe that williams will be the starting left tackle when i see it. they may not be moving Webb, but where could they move him? I thought maybe you had heard Tice say Webb was the starter.
  17. it means he's cheap
  18. How can you tell lo pan?
  19. the HAVE to be talking starting LT for Williams, right? He wont be the back up..will he? who gives a [expletive] what kind of competition they think they have at guard, Williams was better then all of it combined
  20. considering the near deathness of nearly having your spine snapped in two, yea we need to worry about him.
  21. I dont mind it. I would prefer Johnny Knox opposite Marshall, but Hester can fill that need too.
  22. I for one look forward to many more sac bunt attempts.
