At 30 seconds, Pete Carroll couldn't possibly calculate all of that in his head while calling the play of the season at the same [expletive] time. He felt the play was the best choice to win. Period.

    yes and no, when Lovie was hired, GB was the class of the NFC. So, beating them consistently meant being the class of the NFC. GB at that time was in a string of 3 consecutive NFC North titles. He had to beat GB to do anything successful.
