  1. have you been drunk all day or something god i wish. terribly confused about ticket prices (where the tickets were coming from) and suffering form cubs playoff anxiety. but not drunk. and, I dont want schwarbs to fail, I keep looking for how it will fail instead of just accepting that we will be getting a huge bat back in our lineup just in time for the WS. now that I say it like that, I like it alot.
  2. I keep wanting to see the bad in this. See why it would fail because nothing ever good happens for the cobs horsefeathers it. kill all the cleveland pitches Schwarbs
  3. wow. I didnt think he hit any that hard That ball he hit into the gap was absolutely smoked. the one right at 2nd?
  4. welp. please hit big league pitching thanks
  5. I worry about 2 things with Schwarber 1) re-injury 2) an auto out the second one you really cant do much about except hope he adjusts to major league pitching quickly. The first one, is there a doc in here who can rest my mind with "the likelihood of reinjury doesn't matter if its 6 mns or 6 years after an injury"?
  6. Well, I meant start to wear down with in a series not between. If we could knock out Kluber quickly, I could see their staff falling like dominoes as the series progressed. Look at Kershaw. He was on normal rest and he couldn't get his breaking pitch to work, part weather, and I'd guess, part fatigue Gotcha. That certainly makes more sense. And would be an even bigger advantage for the Cubs is Game 2 does get bumped to Thursday and there are 4 consecutive games, as someone else mentioned earlier. pray for rain
  7. For three series in a row? It seems like the bullpen would start to wear down, and as soon as one pitcher did wear down the flood gates open The extra days off will probably mitigate most of that effect. They will have been off for 5 full days between the LCS and World Series. Well, I meant start to wear down with in a series not between. 9. Yeah but I don't think that's because he cant', he was probably asked not to push it when running the bases. Which is what would happen in the World Series as well. If Schwarber is on the roster, he won't be there for a haircut or to run the bases. I took it as not being too motivated, not happy with the hit. totally reading into it. I didnt think it was because of his injury.
  10. yes, I think Kyle thought so too, he hesitated out of the box
  11. soft slide. it doest appear to me hes moving full speed, but the camera angle is totally weird
  12. What exactly is it that you think Stubhub is? a bar? I'm notable dumb when it comes to tickets. Through the years, if I ever bought tickets it was through cubs.com at the beginning of the year or at a ticket office at Target field or Safeco where I lived. I've never bought tickets through stubhub. Lesson in econ 101 I suppose.
  13. I'm mainly excited with how high the ticket prices are, how that will help the Cubs with FA signing $$$ or new contracts. How much can they expect in a bump in spending?
  14. http://e.lvme.me/v8ccqht.jpg ok. how does it work?
  15. fun fact: The average ticket price to the WS in Chicago is $3870. The seating capacity to Wrigley is 41,168 The Cubs will be grossing $159,707,160 PER GAME. Does Cleveland get any of that? eta: I had bad data http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2016/10/23/chicago-cubs-win-sets-stage-for-most-expensive-world-series-tickets-in-baseball-history/#792ee5e85eab
  16. great. the injury turned him into 2016 Heyward with no defense
  17. Lackey would probably give you close to the same start anyway
  18. when I look at their stats this year, I see the Cardinals with a better bullpen. hopefully we start mauling their starters right from the start and force their bullpen to be over pitched.
